I guess I just don't share their concern about whether the Princeton system can produce a championship. I'm especially puzzled given JTIII's pretty outstanding post season record with it here.

Yeah, the system can only get a team to the Final Four.

The Princeton offense is a concern - look at Dean Smith's system, which stifled Michael Jordan.
Eventually, we're going to have to address this if we ever want to be competitive at a national level.

Good overall. I don't see it as a knock to our point guard play or to the offense. If we win the Championship, can the offense be called the Georgetown offense, a mix of Princeton with an abundance of athleticism?

MJ won a National Championship, so a system that stifles the stars is not necessarily a bad thing. 2. At what point can we just say that we ARE competitive on a national level? I think winning the BE and getting to the Final Four means we're already "competitive on the national level." It's not like our loss to Ohio St. was a product of the offensive system.

WB,
How can you call hifigator a no-talent azzclown?
He has to be the most annoying long-winded poster I have ever seen on a message board. That is talent. You think just anyone could join a message board for a team they didn't like AND annoy all the posters for over a year just because they had no life? Give the man some credit.

To be fair, most of us don't know each other and we obviously can't hear the intonation in how something is said, so sarcasm is often very hard to discern.

Yes, he won a national championship, but they barely won it. Admittedly, they won it against Georgetown, so I'll give them points for that. And he only won one. 2. Oh, come on. One measly little final four and we're "competitive on a national level". I will not be satisfied until we go unbeaten and unscored upon in the Big East and Jack jumps on and attacks Bob Costas when III is being interviewed after winning Georgetown's tenth national championship. AND when Georgetown gets invited to the basketball version of the Kumite, sees the members of the cool yet ultimately weaker team that we had known since childhood but get beheaded during a brutal semifinal that they simply couldn't win, and wins it to avenge them. And then defeats the Evil Galactic Empire of Kron in a basketball game to decide the fate of Earth.

Point taken. Sorry for missing the sarcasm there. At least it didn't push me into "azzclown" territory. Those z's are just scathing. But somehow it fits for hifi...

The Memphis Georgetown game is going to be nasty. Probably the best national game on the schedule in all of college basketball before the New Year.
