Agreed. Without Green and Wallace, we would be really, really lost out there. Green is instant energy, our go-to-guy. Wallace is Mr. Calm.
And III's right - Wallace was an absolute steal. He'll definitely be a schollie next year, he deserves it.

Those 2 guys are awesome, I love them and don't know what we would do without them. It's truly amazing to me that 2 freshman are holding this team together so far. I just hope we can get as many years as possible out of Green and see them develop into a truly dominating duo (wait, they almost are already with the numbers they put up against the #1 team so just thinking about the possibilities in a year or two is very exciting).
It's just sad that my class was such a bust, not to bash anyone, because I don't like that at all, but Causey transferred, Sead doesn't play, and lets just say that not many people have such a high opinion of another fellow Class of 2007 member.

I wish this article by Barker could be propegated throughout the main stream media. Perhaps we should email it to Dukie V. After all, despite being a huge Hoya fan, Barker definitely sees the light at the end of the tunnel, and expresses a sense of optimism which is rare in recent times.
I have to agree that Wallace is more than a guy with a good shot, but demonstrated the ability to handle the ball, and run a disciplined office, even though he is only just a walk-on freshman. While I do think that he will be have difficulty at times with defense, in part due to his size, when was the last time you say a Hoya point guard who executed on that mid-range pull up jumper on the break?
As for Green, the sky is the limit. Actually, those of you afraid that he might bolt to the NBA, must realize that in NBA terms, he's still a tweener. Obviously this type of talk is premature, but I think this bodes well for the Hoyas, as he will more than likely spend at least 3 years on the Hilltop. I am not making references to the NBA in order to put unrealistic or lofty expecations on Green, but rather to highlight the fact that he represents almost the perfect recruit in today's college basketball landscape. An under-the-radar "blue-chipper" who has the ability to maneuver on the outside, but also knows how to scrap inside and use his size to his advantage. I really like what I'm seeing from his game, and funny enough, I thought it was his facing-the-basket game and outside shooting that would need to be developed, but in fact, he may be as effective in this role as he is with his back to the bucket.
We're lucky to have Wallace and Green, and also to have Barker Davis, who will hopefully continue to provide us with thoughtful and insightful commentary.
GO HOYAS!!!
