It's always bugged me a little that the jerseys are of pro teams. It seems like we should be honoring players' accomplishments at Georgetown, not in the NBA. And whether someone played in the NBA or not shouldn't be the standard for whether they get honored as a Hoya, either, though offhand I can't think of someone we would want to honor who didn't play in the NBA . . .

Michael Graham, Mike Laughna, Mark Tillmon, just to name a few.
I'd throw in Boubacar Aw, one of my favorite Hoyas of all time, who I think was vastly underrated because of his offensive limitations, but I suspect that the general consensus would likely outvote me on that one.

In a year, you can think of Jon Wallace. Good one. Four-year starter, good student & representative of the university, big part of making the Princeton offense work at Georgetown. Tillmon's not a bad choice, either. Laughna was before I started paying attention. I do wish we could hang our banners in Verizon. It would go a long way toward creating more of a home-court feel.

I'm sure they'd let us if we jsut asked, it's not like they don't have the room, and it's not like any of the teams we share it with are going to win anything anytime soon.
