I would have liked to have seen it kept under 10, but I can live with it. At least the game was competitive into the second half.

not a bad effort. Green is going to be very good very soon. BB was lousy- really dreadful. Wallace needs to shoot more. Great defensive effort in the first half.

I was unable to make the game and only had the ESPN.com play by play function to keep up. One phrase I saw over and over again for the Hoyas was "missed layup." Can someone who witnessed the game please tell me if we simply did just miss a lot of layups or if there is more to the play and the internet broadcast just summarizes the actual situation?
Thanks,
-JJ

hoyas looked pretty good, played hard defence.took good shots. illinois is the best team in the country by far. i have saw, wake,ga tech,nc,duke, kansas all play illinois is better then all of them.they won't loose over 4 games all year going into ncaas. they play smart unselfish, hard defence, good passing strong inside. i was impressed. hoyas will get better and better, green is already good. with hibbert, green, wallace, bowman, cook, crawford and guarade all back hoyas should be in ncaa hunt next year. i like what i saw in them.
go hoyas!!!!!!

The biggest concerns that I have after viewing the game are a) a lack of presence in the paint on both ends of the floor & b) our inability to get easy baskets.
Jeff Green is a great player but he would be much more effective playing next to a true center. I would like to see Big Roy & Jeff on the floor together much more often. That being said, I realize that Roy will have his ups & downs but it's the only way that he's going to develop.
I think that we've got to look to run a lot more. I think that this team could get a lot more easy baskets in transition if we made a concerted effort to do so. If we don't have anything on the break, then back the ball out & run the halfcourt offense.
Overall, I'm pleased with where we are & where I think we're headed. Wallace, Green & Roy will win a lot of ballgames before they leave Georgetown. A couple of good recruiting classes will put this program on very solid footing.

My two cents. This is the first game I've seen so it's hard to judge but I pretty much agree with everyone.
Green and Wallace - look like keepers. Green hits the weights he'll be a stud.
Roy - Needs more PT but I think bringing him along slowly is the right move now. May not be a great player but definitely serviceable.
I like the fact that the team didn't quit and actually looked like they had a gameplan (good coaching for a change?).
What was needed to make this a closer game was a good game from our best player and it didn't happen. Bowman played poorly and it hurt. He didn't have to go out and score 30 but he has to make better decisions with the ball as a veteran. I don't think he'll ever be "a leader" type player but I don't it will matter because this will be Green's team by mid-season.

Not to boast, but only b/c I am usually way off… I must say that I predicted a 74-58 game yesterday!~
