will hoyas have 2 more scholarships for this coming season 2004-005? since the ncaa done away with the 5/8 rule or does that start in 2005-006 season? thanks for any info on this.
also if green does not make it ,do hoyas hold that ship for next season or offer it this season?
a lot of questions about recruting to be answered? i hope green makes it,and we add another big man for this coming season.
go hoyas!!!

My guess is that Hoyas are going to do whatever is best for the program and with early indication being get the players who fit the system JT III will use and recruit until you have spots filled, then move on to Underclassmen! As for Green's situation, he's said numerous times he'll honor his commitment to Hoyas no matter what and I'm sure JT III will return the commitment to Jeff should he not make it, but I'm confident he'll qualify with the sliding scale and if he gets his score up and good grades to end his HS year, he'll make it.

Going after the undrclassmen has really been a mixed bag for the Hoyas. Cheyenne Moore, Fluff McKiver, and Luke Martin all come to mind. The unfortunate reality is that until these guys sign letters of intent and qualify, it is never a done deal that they will ever play for the Hoyas, or any other team for that matter.

Guys, when I said "moving on to underclassmen" I wasn't referring to trying to get commitments, simply meant that staff would move on to evaluate, make contact, etc... which you HAVE TO DO or else you'll be way behind the competition. Some of these kids get their first letters from their Fr season in High School, so the quicker you make contact, the better it is to guage who has serious interest in your program and who doesn't.

True, RDF. I think if we miss out on Galindo and C.J. Anderson, we'll stop with 2004 folks.
