It is an unknown, agreed. My point was that you can't simply suggest that we should not "waste time" recruiting 5 stars because it means we will miss out on local kids that we otherwise would get, because you just don't know.

Kirby has to be the lead on him, right?

Please keep updating on Murray. He will be a player, although we did everything we could to be positioned for him to commit and he did not, for whatever reason, so our chances may not be that great.
As for your indignation regarding our recruiting 5 stars, I disagree. As RB said, there may be no more than a sliver of a chance that any of them will actually pick Georgetown. But:
1. As RB also said, players right now are on occasion picking schools that would normally seem to have no real shot at them, for various reasons;
2. Our staff is putting in the time on all levels. I have not seen any proof that including 5 stars has caused us to miss out on any recruits solely because we did not have enough time available to recruit them as hard as was needed to get them to commit;
3. I feel that every time a 5 star includes us in their final 10, or 8, or 5, it could very well cause some 4 stars to think that although our program has not generally been worth consideration lately, we must have something worth considering if a 5 star remains interested.

So can the decline be traced to a single event or series of events/choices, or was it an inevitable downward trend given the way the school runs the program and how college hoops has changed down the years? I don't think contact tracing is possible at this point. We have a winner!🏆

Congrats. Such a welcome contrast from last year’s recruiting cycle where we seemed to scramble at the end. Can you just be positive? You said congrats now move on who cares about last recruiting cycle we are in a new recruiting cycle now. We needed depth in the last recruiting cycle. Tyler Beard, Jalin Billingsley and Jordan Riley are the future for Gtown. And if we can get Aminu Mohammed to commit we will have a top 10 recruiting class in the nation. I must admit that I had the same thought, about how nice it is to have a solid start already on next year's class. Although of course the "scrambling" last year was largely because of the unanticipated mid-season transfers.

This may offend some people on here sensibilities but Europeans are no where near as selfish as Americans! They tell them put on a mask it will save your lives. Guess what They do? They put on a mask. That tell them social distance and close business... guess what They do? They understand the greater good over what about my rights! That's why Florida and Texas are each getting 3X the amount of daily positive COVID cases as the entire European Union. Outside of the NBA who is doing it right in the bubble, I have no faith that the other sports leagues (college included) will complete their seasons if they even start them at all. Our society’s response has been a shocking illustration of our moral decay. You needed that to recognize our moral decay? Where have you been the last 30-40 years?

Welcome Jalin! Plenty of minutes at the forward spots opening up. Do your thing. Great job staff. Seems like everyone we get start with a J or J sound. Jalin Jordon JaMorko JaVan Jagan Jadan James Josh George Galen Jessie With all of those J's, you would think we could shoot better.😎

I don't want to say I told you so but I am going to say it just this last time. I told you all that Coach Ewing's experience and his people skills were going to pay off for us. I told you guys a lot more things about coach when you all were asking for his head. I told you all that us coming in the player's finals list was going to pay off. I know what I am talking about. Coach and his staff are on it! Now I'm not going to say anymore on it. Welcome to the Hilltop Jalin. Help Coach Ewing rebuild that great Georgetown legacy that your coach help start when he was a player on the Hilltop! I predict this will not be the last time you say "I told you so"

Four months ago my 45 year old daughter told me that in Trump's America this is exactly how the pandemic would play out. No serious effort to shut down the country, a quick return to "normalcy", 200,000 dead and eventual vaccine and herd immunity. We have learned to live with 40,000 gun deaths a year and school massacres so as long as grandpa or grandma doesn't die who cares. All because LJ Peak was shown up by a former DIII player??

Just start with all 347 teams (not sure how you fit them into the graphic but some 11 year old can figure it out).
Then drop one team a day.

Well, we have been assured that there will be no college basketball whatsoever this season. I think the odds are there will be none and Blair will have eligibility in 2021-2022. I don't know why that's being discounted or treated as a joke. The University just uninvited RAs from campus. Not treating it as a joke. It is absolutely possible. But nobody knows for certain. Nobody.

I'm not penciling in Blair for a starting spot in '21-'22. Wait, did I miss something? Why is Blair still going to be around in '21-22? Well, we have been assured that there will be no college basketball whatsoever this season.

Optimistic that we are putting together a group that will work hard and come together as a group - the whole being greater than the sum of the parts and all that.
But not optimistic that this or any thread will stay focused only on the positive!
