Loyola, who vanquished us last week, was forced to withdraw from their conference championship game due to Covid protocols.

“One Man Clear”, Geddes got an arm injury. Apparently slashed on a play where we were penalized for a slash.* Big loss if he’s not back. We”re having enough trouble clearing it as it is. Congrats to the team. Gutcheck win. They’re fun to root for. We’ll be a tough out; not the opponent anyone wants to draw tomorrow.
*I checked the tape. Geddes was injured on the 4th quarter faceoff play in a collision with Denver’s Logan; an innocent play. The slash call against us, which was fair, came immediately thereafter.

Quoting a poster on LaxPower: Between this and the home game against Denver, this Hoya team has produced some absolutely top notch entertainment. Not the easiest on the nerves, but there is something to be said for watching two good teams go at it when they're both firing on all cylinders. Can you provide a link or web address for LaxPower? The old LaxPower I frequented shut down some years ago and Googling the term gets you an error code. Thanks.

I only saw the fourth quarter, but that was all you needed to see. The start was insane, with the Hoyas taking a lead and then quickly losing it 4 times in the first 7 minutes. Then we squandered a full minute of extra man opportunity. And recovered from that, with T.J. Haley scoring his first goal since the home win against Nova in late March to take the lead before Petkevich produced GU's first two-goal lead of the game. Hoyas win 14-12, and now there won't be a long, agonizing wait before the field is announced. Not to worry. We’re in. Even with a close loss last night we were probably in.

Bad loss to a mediocre Loyola team in Balto tonight. Hopefully a wake up call; next game takes on added significance.

He told the “Post and Courier” “he will study sports management at Georgetown”. Is that a course or major now?

How key were faceoffs? The ball was never out of GU’s offensive end in OT.

Avenge the earlier loss to Team Canada.....er..D.U. Our own Canadian, Dylan Watson, who missed the first one was huge. Same for Gibson Smith who is rounding into lax shape. Apart from everything else this sews up an at large tourney bid if needed. Gray unis with Navy trim were the sweetest Georgetown kits, in any sport, I’ve seen.

Possible 6th foul rule? Have to hear more but not a fan right now... Lol. Widen the lane to the entire width of the court for all the difference it would make. Last time 3 seconds was called was......er, I can't remember.

I am sure that you are happy about this if you are a Nova fan, but it will be interesting to see if there is any impact on some of the underclassmen/incoming freshman, who are now looking at less minutes than they might have expected if there guys had left. Wright seems to have a great feel for his locker room so he may have already spoken to everyone and the team is supportive, but some young player who was Ok with sitting for a year until he got his chance, is now looking at sitting a second year. It will be interesting to see how this plays out across the country with players coming back for the extra year. My guess would be one or two of the Nova frosh will RS this season... It'll be interesting to see if it was really injuries that has derailed Antoine so far... They're big on redshirting. It gets little mention amid the Jay Wright lovefest.

Hoyas grit one out 10-8 in dismal Milwaukee. Big games from Geddes, Mc Elroy, Carraway (GWG lefty, goal 10 righty), and Watson. Gibson Smith back on the field at long last.

Exactly! 9 out of 10 teams call time out there. Mark Few, on the other hand, coaches them in practice. There was no wondering who’s going to inbound it or who’s going to receive the pass. Suggs caught on the move and was a blur up the sideline. I was at center court in the Spectrum for the Laettner play. IMO this was better.

Dylan Watson back in the lineup! Welcome addition. 3G 3A so far as Hoyas are routing the Johnnies. Carraway also back.

We all understand that this is the new landscape. But how is it the door does not revolve for us? All our high profile guys are outgoing none incoming.

Coach could frequently be heard bellowing “Q”! after which Q invariably came out to set a high pick. Maybe he didn’t like having to do that.
