I am ashamed to say that I graduated from this high school. I was not on the student paper, though. Man...how embarassing.

I love how GW is such a non-factor that they make no one's list (even though they are approximately three steps from our campus). I agree - it's better to just ignore them altogether.

That intentional foul must have been a make up call for the non-calls they missed before that time. Make up calls by definition are stupid.

Do people who get tix through GU get to sit together in assigned seats or is it all general admission? I got some tix through Navy but they said it was general admission. I'd rather be sitting with GU fans. Any info?

I second Mr. Black's comment - why would I, a local DC resident and alum who has given money to the HHC for almost ten years now, not be informed of this meeting? I get countless e-mails from them, so it's not like I'm not on their mailing list. Was this meeting for a select few? What's the deal? And the coach was there? This is a travesty.

Someone on this board better be the winning bidder. And then they must report back everything that happens in the practice (and don't sign the non-disclosure agreement!).

If the entire team (including JTIII and PEII) signed a We Are Georgetown shirt, what would people on this board bid on it? Remember that proceeds go to a great cause.

What should JTIII put up there to be auctioned?
The website allcoachescare.com has a listing of other items, but there is no JTIII item, yet. The auction starts on 9/14.

Good analysis...It should be very interesting to see the differences between this year and last in terms of how our offense runs. I felt like last year there were way too many instances when the shot clock was down to five or less and we still hadn't made progress to the hoop, resulting in a hurried three-point attempt. Hopefully we can cut down on those this year.

Question on the Princeton offense: If it is so difficult to learn and master, are young college teams that run this offense (those that are made up of many Freshmen and Sophs) destined to be works in progress? In other words, will we see years like last year when our teams are made up of younger players (i.e., slower pace, few fast break chances, long adjustment periods, etc.)?
Maybe taking time to adjust to a system is ok in the pros, when teams may stay together for a while, but they don't have that luxury in college when players graduate, new classes come in, etc. Isn't it incumbent upon freshmen to learn the system (whatever it is) as soon as possible b/c in many instances the players with experience in the system graduate?
I guess I'm saying that it's good that some of our players have a year under their belts in the system, but can we afford to always bring along the freshmen class slowly (due to the apparent complexity or "newness" of our offesive system to them)? Or, will this not be the case, and the freshmen will come in and contribute immediately even in a system that is new to them?

The sad thing is that this was all true on January 27, 2004.
The interesting thing is that all of this changed a mere few months later in the matter of minutes.
The great thing is that all of this should be ancient history in a few years (maybe even sooner).
