The funniest part of the Clydes/M-A game occurred with about 1.5 seconds left on the clock in the 2nd half. Harvey, playing with his usual enthusiasm, was left to inbound a pass in front of the stands. I didn't see what exactly happened, but there must have been a little miscommunication because I looked back to the left and saw the bail go flying across the court and hit the Gatorade cooler behind the Clydes bench. I don't think it fell over, but it was good for a laugh. Good ol' Crazy Harvey... I don't think there was any miscommunication. Harvey chucked the ball clear across the court. Definitely a funny moment. I love the Kenner League "coaches". The only guy on the M&A bench who wasn't in uniform spent most of the game on his Sidekick.

Can someone tell me what time the games are this weekend? I'd like to get out to see Jeff and Tyler play.

Games at 3:00 and 4:15, one of the matchups according to the announcer on Tuesday will be DC Jammers vs. Meyers and Alterman, the other I have no idea. I have no idea which order the games will be played in.

I went to the Jammers/M&A game today. Jeff and Tyler played, no Ashanti. Big John and Rony were in the house. M&A won pulling away, by double digits, although they started each half slowly. Jeff didn't score a lot, but he had some very pretty passes (5 or 6 assists, I think), at least one spectacular block, and a monster dunk on a break. There were a lot of breaks, by both teams, but I bet both missed more than they finished. A lot of would-be dunks bounced off the rim, including at least one by Jeff.
Tyler was fine, maybe not as outstanding as in the last game I saw from him. I continue to be impressed by the guy from GW, Rob P (Payne?), a great athlete.

Keep getting that wrong. The acoustics in McD are not the clearest. Thanks.

Watched the second semifinal, Electro-Lite vs. Colonials. Sure enough, the E-Lite coach called a TO in the first 2 mins and went nuts on his players...
E-lite built a lead up to around 16, but the Colonials stormed back to within 2 on some good shooting, but couldn't get closer. Point of note, D. Green (Syracuse freshmen) was there and looked very good. Easy to tell why he's so highly regarded -- was really impressed with a few passes he made, and it was easy to tell that he could get his shot off.
Finals tomorrow at 2:30 --M&A vs. E-Lite.

M&A took a ten point lead early, led 48-37 at the half, and won by ten. Electro-lite got close a few times, notably at the end, but never took the lead.
Jeff had a dunk late that could have finished it, but instead hit iron and bounced to half court (he took only one shot the first half that I remember, but stepped it up in the second half). Best player was probably Tony Skinn, who was unconscious from three point land. Tyler made a key play late that sealed the victory. Entertainment was provided by the Electro-lite coach, who looked like he was about to have a coronary and who had an early first-half tirade that defied description.
Also notable - concessions were half-price, and the winning M&A team wore Carolina blue, while Electro-lite's yellow with dark numbers made it seem like a repeat of the UNC-Michigan final from the early 90s.

A sad day for the whole Electrolite family/organization - they really didn't "come out of the gate" or something like that - I think that's what I heard their coach yelling. I can only hope that Electrolite will make some off-season moves and get over the hump of continuously finishing in 2nd place. I mean bringing in Mouton is nice, but you've got to surround him with some talent.

don't worry lic we got a bit of revenge on UNC last year. it doesn't heal that wound. but it certainly helps a bit.
