We all knew Hibbert was stayin at 10am.....And i still see some people are estatic that at least one of them stayed....I also saw one jerk write that its the best case scenaro....Are u that ignorant?? We would be lucky to make the Sweet 16 this upcoming year....But we'd be national title contenders if Green came back..Thats how valuable he is...This is a sad day

I know it's not the best case scenario but it's still a great situation. I still think we can win the title with out green. It was just all but guaranteed with green.

you gotta be kidding me. Look at our roster and tell me we're not a Final Four contender next season. If you don't see it, you don't know college hoops.

Sad but mixed. We lost the better of the two IMO, but getting to watch Roy for another year in gray and blue is really nice.

However, when you are a Final Four caliber team, players leaving for the NBA is a fact of life. What happened with Florida last year was an anomaly and people forget that all the star players were sophomores when they won that first title and not juniors. You still have to be confident with next year's team with Hibbert's return and the incredible recruiting class. Recruiting only gets better when you have star players getting drafted by teams in the lottery.

completely agree. OP doesn't know what he's talking about. We might not be preseason #1 but we are definitely Final Four favorites.

SpinDoc, if you could cry right now and think we're a Sweet 16 team, then I urge you to go ahead and cry and not sign up for season tickets next year.
Although there will be plenty of room on the bandwagon in January.

We would be lucky to make the Sweet 16? And you're calling someone else a jerk and ignorant? Priceless.

Cry all you want - getting Roy back is a HUGE victory and given whet Jeff has done you were a moron for not starting your crying earlier... We are a top 25 team next year with a chance of getting bak to the final 4.

Hibbert + Summers + Ewing/Macklin is probably the best frontcourt in the nation. And nobody will have the quality depth in the backcourt that we'll have in Wallace/Sapp/Rivers/Freeman/Wright. Our 9-man rotation next year will be ridiculously good.

i'm happy but would be much happier if jeff stayed also. IMO, roy is the more valuable player because he presents so many problems for opposing teams on both ends. i think we're as much a final 4 team as we were this past season IF pat, dejuan, jesse, and vern continue to develop at the pace they did during last season. one staying, one going isn't the worst thing that could happen....consider the alternative if both went.

Green was our linchpin, but I have confidence in JTIII to make the adjustments.
No need to cry - we should be proud that guys like Jeff will be representing our school in the League.

I usually like what you have to say... but think you're way off base on this one. While we will certainly miss Jeff and while he was our best player last year... by keeping Roy... we are a preseason # 3 or 4 team in the country. With Jeff, we would have been #1. That said, if Hibbert continues to improve at the rate he has been going... he's an 18 and 12 guy next year. Dejuan will take a increased role and coule score 14 game. JW is guaranteed to get some open three's now that we can work the offense from the inside out. Sapp will just continue to get better and we have to spark plugs in Wright and Freeman off the bench. We are deep, we are good, and we are experienced! This is a Final Four team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow....we all wish Green were staying, but Roy is key because he's so tough to defend. We have a couple of guys who might be able to fill Jeff's shoes--we have nobody who can replace Roy right now. Recall how much our offense stagnated every time Roy had to sit last year.
This team will be a disappointment if it doesn't make the Sweet Sixteen and we could be a top ten team come January. Thanks for getting the Hoyas back on top Jeff. We'll miss you (and your mom).

Recall how much our offense stagnated every time Roy had to sit last year. You're joking, right? This team won games with Roy struggling and watching from the bench. Whenever that happened to Green, an "L" usually followed.
