An "error" equates to a mistake being made--I don't care who made it DFW--for all I know JT could've wanted Esherick to get 10 more years--it was a FRIGGIN MISTAKE and the proof is in the results on the court. The ERROR is gone and the TERROR IS BACK!
BLEEP ESHERICK and his followers!

I just feel like he's so intelligent and articulate, and he got into a school (Princeton) that a lot of Georgetown students couldn't touch. I'm not saying Wallace isn't a smart kid, but does anyone else think this statement is not 100% accurate and pretty insulting to Georgetown students in general? I don't really feel that Princeton is a school that a "lot" of us "couldn't touch." And, believe it or not, athletic recruitment can help kids get into Ivy League schools. It's not like Wallace happened to get into Princeton, and III was lucky that he could also play basketball. Again, this is not meant as a criticism of Jonathan Wallace, but the above quotation seems like an unnecessary shot at Georgetown students to me.

i went to Georgetown and I couldn't have sniffed Princeton.
I am guessing the kid who spells everything wrong on this Board is in the same boat as me.
Oh yeah, and DFW, your post is asinine. If you can't admit that Esherick's hiring was a tremendous ERROR, then you need to see a therapist buddy.

Now we have the answer.
2005-2008 THE HIBBERT ERA.
His face belongs on Mt. Hoya next to Ewing, Mutumbo, and Mourning.
What an unselfish and intelligent decision. He will not regret it.
Long live Roy!

I actually think this clinches the Hibbert/Green Era. Jeff Green's name will not be left out of this era's name in the annals of Hoya basketball. However, if Jeff had stayed and Roy had left, I think it would be possible that It would only be thought of as the Green era. The way this worked out keeps both guys in there, in my opinion.

Dude, I love Roy as much, if not more than the next guy, but it's as much Jeff's era as it is Roy's. Jeff was the star on the way to the Final Four last year. He was the star JT3's first year. It's pretty much been his team the past three years. Roy has the chance to put his own mark on it, but he can't surpass Jeff's mark.

TBird I agree with your first four sentences. However, if Roy continues to improve at the meteoric rate of his past 3 years, win BE POY, BET MOP, Wooden Award, and Final 4 MVP on the way to the 2008 NC, I am going to have to disagree that he cannot surpass Jeff G. as the most memorable figure from the early JTIII years. Jeff will be right up there, but Roy will be the first to pop into most minds IMO.

We can't forget our underrated, 180 (and of course, self-internally jealous) point guard who buries so many of the kick-out passes from his taller counterparts.
It's the Hibwalleen Era. (Higrallace? Wabbereen?)
;D
