11-15 from the field 3-5 from 3 3-3 from the line 6 boards 2 ast 5 steals!!! and 3 blocks
that might be the most impressive stat line i've seen since big mikes near quad double against cuse a couple years ago. it's great to see brandon grow as a player and really thrive in this system. he and jeff are a major league 1-2 punch. great job hoyas!!!!

looking at the highlights, I saw at least 2 of what i call "front door" moves -- hard cuts to the basket for easy layups or dunks (as opposed to backdoor cuts along the baseline to get behind the defender for an easy score). I love both plays, because they are good, smart, fundamental team basketball plays, but I think the "frontdoor" stuff is even better suited to guys like Brandon who like to slash to the hoop. I think the "slasher" type players we are recruiting are going to like what they see when they see the Hoya highlight reel, because as opposed to those guys doing all the work themselves to score, JT3's system actually creates the plays for them, making their style even more effective.

A little quote I came across in the Post:
"I really don't think about the number they are," Hoyas forward Brandon Bowman said. "Coach told us especially not to. As far as I'm concerned, they're another team coming in here playing us at home. We're feeling confident about ourselves, and we're going to step it up so we can get another victory. It's good they're number one."
I like the attitude about worrying about your own game and being confident that if your team does what it needs to, the end result will be positive. This is a more productive way to approach things than spending all your energy trying to counter what your opponent is going to do. Does anyone else feel this approach may at least put Illinois on their heels? Am I completely off target?
