From rivals:
Those in the high-major circles that know about Wally Judge don't want to read this but he's on pace to becoming a very special high-major prospect. Don't be surprised to see his recruitment explode.
Already boasting offers from Georgetown and Maryland and high interest from Villanova and Kansas State, the 6-foot-9 forward from Blandesberg (Md.) High School has the kind of game and potential that attracts all kinds of high-major schools.
Judge is a good rebounder and defender and he's also not afraid to jump into the lane and take a charge. In a three minute span, he took three offensive charges and helped throw the momentum back to his club. His hands are soft and big and strong. He catches everything and scored buckets. Judge put in 12 points against Team Final and good on the defensive end of the floor.

Thanks idhoya for your reliable info. There is a youngster in Memphis, Leslie McDonald. Keep an eye on him. he is the real deal. I was talking with Brandon Wright last summer and he told me that Georgetown showed very little to no interest. He know that I am a big Hoya fan. I know that sometimes guys get lost in the shuffle. I don't understand how this could have happened with Brandon. We really need to know if McDonald is interested or not. Keep the info coming. Go Hoyas.

I imagine the staff has to cut recruiting on a lot of great players because they don't feel that the chances they can get them is worth the money and time to recruit them. Did Brandan have interest in GU? I know he was supposedly big on Duke early then expanded; maybe we just decided fighting Duke and UNC wasn't worth the effort. We can recruit locals to death because it is an hour or two and a car ride to see a game. To go see Brandan it's a plane ticket, a hotel and a couple of days.

Everyone knew that Brandon Wright was like Odem and Durant, one and done. They were going to programs where the could showcase and go. He would not have gotten that opportunity at GU. Macklin and Summers where better longterm fits. Now with Green gone next year, if Greg Monroe wants to be one and done I am all for it being at Gtown.

One, a lot of the players that people claim are one and dones do not end up being that way. I have no problem with a player that ends up being one and done, but I'd rather stay away from players who proclaim themselves to be one and done. Why? 1) They are on the team to showcase their skills more often than not; not to win. 2) Rarely are they interested in class at all. It's still a University. And while I think athletes should be able to major in their sport, I want our student-athletes to be student-athletes 3) I think it can completely mess up your teams continuity, scaring off replacement players, clashing with upperclassmen, etc. Obviously, this isn't always true (OSU, 2007) but I would point out that someone like Oden never seemed like he was in school just to make the NBA.

I'll have to check on Monroe this evening. Didn't know he had Hoya interest. I did not know that Monroe had Gtown interest either. I thought he was locked into Duke, LSU, and Kansas. But SFHoya99 said that JT3 is visiting Monroe this week...

I'm not sure how much we would have benefited from B. Wright even if we did recruit and sign him. His offensive skills right now are fairly limited, and, in the Big East, many teams would be able to keep him from getting the kinds of layups he was getting in ACC play.
We're fortunate Roy Williams kept Wright in for the stretch of our game. Had he gone with Deon Thompson, who knows what would have come of the game.

Didn't know three was visiting. I don't have any inside info; in one of the Monroe articles his high school coach said he was coming in next (this?) week.
