So my buddy just asked me what was wrong with PE Jr's wrist...said he saw him on TV at the Knick's game with his dad and that his wrist was in a cast. Can anyone confirm or refute this? Any insight on what happened? I know he had one of his wrists taped up the latter part of the season.

Not sure, but I do know for a fact that Tyler broke his hand punching that basket in the Vanderbilt game.

I can confirm that Ewing Jr.'s wrist was in a cast during the Knick's game tonight. Saw it on TV.
I was going to ask the same thing. I feel like it must not be tooooooooo bad considering there hasn't been any news on it, but that's all speculation and hope.

Let's just hope that Tyler doesn't pull the full Kevin Brown.

This snippet about PEJr was at the end of today's NY Post article about the Knicks loss last night:
Patrick Ewing Jr. sat with his father on celebrity row in a cast last night - a very fitting scene considering the Knicks' medical woes.
Turns out Ewing Jr. played with sprained ligaments in his wrist for the last six weeks of Georgetown's march to the Final Four. Georgetown's season is done. The Knicks will be soon.

Also - I saw Dajuan today - he is on crutches, with a cast on his foot. I don't know what that is about

Is this normal? I've never heard of so many injuries surfacing after the season. I was around to see D Hunter's bad ankle, Courland's hand and wrist problem, but everyone knew about those.
Maybe it's all the extra games we're playing at the end fo the season, compared to the prior 5-6 years.

Also - I saw Dajuan today - he is on crutches, with a cast on his foot. I don't know what that is about I also saw him this morning, making his way very gingerly up the steps next to the library. (An impressive feat.) While previously I thought we were relatively lucky with injuries this year, perhaps we were more broken down than we thought. Perhaps this is a cause of his rather poor performance in the semi-final. Best wishes for his recovery of course.

Not that I know anything for certain, but a lot of times kids play with various injuries that require some surgery at the end of the year. It goes to show you the class the team and JTIII act with in these regards. Most coaches would whine about this injury and that injury that cost them. JTIII and the team just kept playing.
Hopefully these are minor "clean up" things that were done immediately after the season so they have the full summer to get ready for next year.
My guess is Tyler has something done to his hand too (or may already have done so).

I'm pretty certain our kids had the flu during the year. It's just below JTIII to complain about it unlike Lord Crean.

Didn't Tyler have the flu at the beginning of the year- one of the myriad illnesses that kept him out for a bit?

It was more than the flu. He lost 25 pounds or something around there.
I think it might have been strep throat or something like that...I know someone will correct me ;D
Never a complaint. We just swapped in Summers and kept plowing along.
Love JTIII
