Not to bring up a sore spot...well, ok, to bring up a sore spot, today's NYTimes sports section reports that the Egerson article was the 2nd most emailed Times sports article of the past week. I saw none of the letters concerning the article, however.

I saw none of the letters concerning the article, however. Bubbrubb, Uhhhh, unless I've misunderstood your post, the Times reference to the Egerson blurb means that it was the second most emailed story sent by readers to others. It has nothing to do with letters mailed to the Times itself in response to the article.

Ummm...correct, AvantGuard. This proof of reader interest, in my opinion, might merit publication of a letter concerning the article.
