and jeff hasn't been? they were both picked as what would win the game for us in a bunch of pregame analysis... and neither of them has played whatsoever up to snuff.

Well, Jeff at least had a few boards and a few baskets.

Wish the same had happened to Oden and Conley!

The better team won--you can't whine about anything--their big time kids made plays and our guys played a spotty game--Roy, Jon, and Jessie played great, Jeff was AWOL, and DaJuan and Pat really struggled out there.
Doesn't feel bad-this team got the maximum effort it could and really brought back the tradition--and only painful thing about this is the only team I think can matchup with Florida-is us--but sports are about matchups and Ohio State proved to be better then Hoyas today and that's all that mattered.

If there's anyone to blame, I blame Claire Cooper. Stay in your room, Claire!

I agree. Nothing to whine or complain about. I hate to say we lost that game more than tOSU won it, but it felt like that. However, such a statement doesn't give tOSU enough credit. They played a good game. We needed Jeff to step up more, and sooner. I understand that we have to work through the offense and all that, but there's enough flexibility for Jeff to take over for a couple of series in a row and he doesn't have to wait to the end of each half. Packer was right, it's inexcusable for Jeff to take his first shot of the second half with 6:08 to go. Summers had a bad night, but he didn't force anything. We could have overcome his poor shooting if others had better games.

Dajuan obviously didn't have his game tonight, but obviously we don't get to this point without his recent play (especially UNC). Solid season, frosh, and I'm excited to see what you could possibly be next year if you can follow in the footsteps of your teammates in making great strides over the coming offseason. Thanks for a great year.

Can we please rename this thread "Props to Roy and J-Wall for shining on the biggest stage of the year!"

And even though VMack didn't exactly shine during his short stints, I feel he will make huge strides in the next year or two, and be a real force inside.

Well, Jeff at least had a few boards and a few baskets. Yeah, but everybody expected him to be a much more of a threat, that would win us the game.

DaJuan will be a force by the time he's a Junior. Can't expect a UNC performance out of a freshman every night, especially in the Final Four.

Can we please rename this thread "Props to Roy and J-Wall for shining on the biggest stage of the year!" They are my favorites and not that they didn't impress the hell out of me all year, but they both stepped up tonight. Roy played his game. Jon played his. Too bad it wasn't enough, but JWal will be one of this team's leaders next year, he'll be the one showing the new guards the ropes - and I can't think of a better person to do it!!!

Dajuan had a bad game. He's young. Even if he weren't, everyone is allowed to have an off night. I think that FrazierFanatic is right that PE should have been in the mix more than Dajuan after the first half (even though he wasn't having much of a game either).
