This, now THIS is Com. Uh. Dee. My favorite part is the ball spin at the beginning, though the finger point at the end is fantastic, too. tinyurl.com/239ajd

that was one of the best things I have ever watched.
Thanks for posting that. The finger point is awesome. For some weird reason whenever I see craig esherick I think of david hasslehoff.

Reminds me of the best sign I've ever seen at a Gtown game. It was for the ND game this year and was directed at Mike Brey: "Hey, Mike. Even ESherick SPorted a Necktie"
They even showed it on the Scoreboard during the Hoya Fan of The Game contest. For some reason, they didn't show it again when they recapped the finalists. Just awesome all around.

Oh, give the guy a break.
Yes, the finger point is hardly Dikembe-esque in terms of being an authoritative gesture. And, yes, when predicting that Georgetown and UNC will play for the regional championship, maybe it goes without saying that "one of them will go to the Final Four."
But other than that, it's hardly the worst basketball commentary I've heard over the last few days (cough-gottlieb-cough).

The guy with that sign was nominated for fan of the game and got the loudest cheers out of anyone by far, but the NKVD decided that they didn't want to give it to him and appear to be giving Esh the business. Travesty, though.

That was the most budget set of "picks" I have ever seen. Hey Esh, maybe you can move up from the CSTV webcam by actually picking someone next time.

That is the saddest, saddest, saddest thing I have ever seen. You could sense the pain in the room, and by "room" I mean the fake court backdrop with the "CSTV" pennant digitally hanging in the corner.
I wish, I really wish, we could coax him back into the Gtown family because he played such a prominent part in it. And yet I see him and hear him talking--and in particular I see him making hand motions--and my chest just tightens by pure instinct.
In a way, I and the entire 2001 class should thank him. Being on campus for his "run" makes what's happening now even sweeter.

But other than that, it's hardly the worst basketball commentary I've heard over the last few days (cough-gottlieb-cough). Agree. I bet 95% of the people on this site wouldn't do better in front of a camera. And kicking a guy when he is down is bad karma overall and particularly uncharitable/unloving imo for anyone who happens to consider themselves Catholic. DFW sometimes emphasizes the Catholic tradition of G-town on the front page though I must admit I sometimes wonder about that tradition when I see a lot of fan postings. Obviously there are people of all traditions and not from any tradition (all of which I respect) on these boards, but on average I would guess the core fan base is largely alums and students of the school who are largely Catholic and it just makes me wonder. The poster who took a sec to say he was kidding clearly was and that's cool. But most people wail on Esh in ways that are not, and for no purpose. Even if you don't like a guy, it's possible to refrain from kicking him - especially on a public site that likely some of his friends or associates read.
