the official hoya headquarters will be at the courtyard marriot located at 1600 westbrook plaze drive. the team "may" be staying here. thank me later........................... Thank you later for what? If the team "IS" staying there, don't you think that fans of other teams read this message board, and "may" try things that might distract our players and coaches? If you posted this to show off your knowledge and "insider" status and let us know how cool you think you are, congratulations. Way to compromise the team's privacy and security just to make yourself feel like a big man. Jackass. its called a team send off, moron. yea, the players would really hate to see their fans in the lobby rooting them on as the board the bus to go to their game get a life, better yet, get a brain baffon fans distracting the team? are u serious? are u daft?

It is doubtful that the Hoya Headquarters hotel is where the team is staying. Too many distractions. That Courtyard Marriott is likely where the Hoya Hoop Club & Hoyas Unlimited may be hosting events and using as their "headquarters". You can likely buy Tournament T-shirts from a GU representative there (every participating school sells official tournament gear).

Well, seeing as I have worked for various host schools at various NCAA events, I can tell you that each team hotel is pre-determined. That information is not made public for reasons cited above. Furthermore, I know first-hand that "followers" of a given team have rarely end up staying in the same hotel as the team itself. The team-specific info is just not public.......
NOR SHOULD IT BE

mrsixer: I don't mean to get into a Editeding match about this, so I'll start by apologizing for calling you a jackass.
That said, it's about privacy as much as anything. Everyone involved (players, coaches, staff, everyone) deserve that much. And it set me off to see a Hoya fan compromising that. For any reason. So I flew off the handle a bit.
Information like this is valuable - for any of a number of reasons. So it's best - as far as I'm concerned - that it be shared on a "need-to-know" basis. If you happen to get some intel, good for you. But I'm pretty sure Coach would be FURIOUS if he knew that someone - anyone - with that information was posting it on the internet.
EDIT: Now that you've edited your previous post in order to call me a "baffon" (which I assume is an egregious misspelling of "buffoon"), I retract my apology. My opinion about the sharing of such information stands.

I know that the team won't/shouldn't get distracted, but why even make it a possibility? apology accepted. dude, the HC sent a MASS email with this info. there reason i said the team "may" be staying there is b/c that is what i heard. if anyone wants to find out where ANY team is staying it can be found w/o that much effort

NOR SHOULD IT BE if what u say is true, then the team will not be staying there. u also make a good point b/c last year in minnesota the parents of the players even stayed in a different hotel. there is a reason quotation marks were used in my original post.

For someone who complains about the alleged uselessness of certain posts, you've sure got quite the arsenal of pointless comments yourself...
