The Big John/Patrick Ewing angle is overplayed in the media, but they always pick one thing and beat it to death. He stays as far away as he can during the games. And he's family in more ways than one. I thought that last image tonight was priceless. I agree...They're not beating it to death like the media did the Lovie Smith/Tony Dungee angle, but they seem to be getting their money's worth. But the shadow that Big Pat and Big John cast over this program is pretty huge. I think our generation will have to die-out before the comparisons start to dwindle. And I think Big John and Pat Sr. being around the program is helping way more than it's hindering.

As an "old school fan" I love seeing the "Big Guys" around. To me they are playing it perfectly--making their presence known, but leaving the real limelight to the guys on the team. Ithink it shows how important tradition is to the team and how connected everyone from the past is to the present. All of that, to me, is a positive reflection on the program.

I LOVE the fact that these two Men, supporting the Program that they were the cornerstones in building up, as well as their Sons, are FATHERS. It's nice to see when kids and coaches have their mothers (often without their fathers) and their wives in the stands supporting them----but I think America's Youth NEEDS to see the great support and example that JT Jr. and Patrick Sr. are giving to their sons---while basically trying to accomadate (not shun) the attention they get---and clearly they focus on their sons and the team - not on themselves. They are the reason why people care about G'TOWN Hoops in the first place. I can's get ENOUGH of seeing them!!

I was too busy screaming, running around my home, yelling things like "Charm City Nuttage", "J-E-F-F, JEFF, JEFF, BLEEPIN' JEFF" so what did they show that happened between Pops/Jeff? As the team was heading back to the locker room, Pops was standing in the tunnel congratulating and shaking hands with everyone as they passed. Gave a hug to III. As Jeff passed, he stopped him, had a short, private conversation, smiled, patted him on his head, and sent him on his way. Great TV moment. BTW, I was still screaming and acting like a little kid, too.

Tradition is so much a part of success in athletics. Great to see these legends in the stands.
