I just wanted to congratulate you guys on your victory yesterday against my Cats. I thought your run in the first half was the difference in the Hoyas winning the game although my Cats were able to make a good run in the second half it was a matter of too little too late for us. Good luck to you guys against the Irish tonight and I hope your team has a strong run in the NCAA's.

too bad we banned ncaaball2, because hifi attacking him for saying that Nova would have destroyed us in the Elite 8 made me laugh hard This tread could get very interesting

NovaBob, thanks for the congratulatory remarks. I wasn't sure if that opening run was the clincher - thanks for the input.

Hey nova bob:
Are those two white lines on the Jersey an homage to Sniffles McLain?

i think hifi has gotten signficantly better but he seems content with being this board's pet. it's like he'd do our laundry just to continue hanging out. just like brasky used to in college.
i for one, like the element he brings to board, he's formed an identity. saying thanks to a nova fan is classic.

I think the two lines above the breast mean 'captain.'

Then everyone on the team is a captain.

Thanks NovaBob. Your guys have had our number all year, and they had a gutsy second half after a dismal first. Good luck in the Big Dance.
Hifi, you crack me up man. First we find out you've been banned from the OSU and Miami boards, then you thank a Nova fan for us. Classic. Thanks for the laughs.

Sure, they play us close but I'd think having our number would constitute beating us more than 33% of the time this season. Especially considering their win against us was early in BE play when we were playing on a Monday after a Saturday game. Speaking of having numbers, didn't Nova have a calling card scandal a couple years ago?

3 games, Hoyas go 2-1, total point differential 12 (Hoyas +8), Nova limited Roy to 3 points in the first two games, we were a JS prayer and a JG clutch pull-up jumper away from being 0-2 in the regular season, and we blew a 19 point halftime lead to win by 5 yesterday. I agree in principle that to have a team's number, the team in question should usually be on the winning end, but of the teams we've played >once this year, I have to give it to the 'Cats for giving us the hardest time. And yes, Nova did have a calling card scandal! I think it was in '03.....anybody remember? I don't really think 'Nova has our number. Sure, they play us close but I'd think having our number would constitute beating us more than 33% of the time this season. The "11" on the jerseys is to honor Hall of Famer and NBA 50 Greatest Player Pitchin' Paul Arizin, who passed away this year.
