Obviously Georgetown's program has been the most racist against African-Americans in the history of college basketball. Notre Dame, of course, has always been a shining paradigm of race relations. Don't you know anything, SoCal?

Two words: Tyrone. Willingham.

Firing Tyrone Willingham had nothing to do with race, it was a football decision. That having been said, I think the only appropriate way to deal with ND basketball fans are two different words: Chris. Thomas. or maybe Doug. Gottlieb.

Very important to know your history...
Even more important to learn and grow because/in spite of it...

Can we forget Tyrone Willingham (like the rest of the United States) and get back to the issue at hand?
Someone on ND Nation, in predicting a win over Georgetown, has quoted Billy Joel.
Can we all agree that no team -- NO TEAM -- with fans who like, and quote, Billy Joel deserves to win?
Friggin bug-eyed, piano-playing troll!
(nodak doesn't have any BJ songs in his discography, does he?)

Very important to know your history... Even more important to learn and grow because/in spite of it... True. Just a few years later Patrick Healy was our president.

dude singing piano man at mr. smith's housed out of my gourd with 15 other people housed out of their gourds while the petrified/horrified piano player grudgingly acquiesced to our song demand is among my most treasured M Street memories.
how is THAT for a compound sentence...billy joel made good music. am i the only one who thinks that here?

If I understand this correctly, Georgetown's Jesuits hate black people. And since we all know that John Thompson hates white people, if we can drum up some "evidence" about someone on campus hating hispanics, native americans and asians, then we'll be truly able to say Georgetown is an equal opportunity institution.

(nodak doesn't have any BJ songs in his discography, does he?) On a partially related topic, I was very disturbed looking at the Garden rafters to see that Billy Joel has apparently has his #12 jersey retired at MSG, wither that or the 12 represents the number of DWIs he has received in New York. I could imagine Billy Joel's jersey hanging in a cheesy dump like the Nassau Masoluem where Monster Truck Shows and indoor lacrosse routinely sell out to throngs of screaming Strong Islanders, but I expect higher standards from the "World's Most Famous Arena." Willis Reed, Walt Frazier, Bill Bradley, Phil Esposito, Rod Gilbert, Mark Messier, Patrick Ewing and....Billy Joel?

Yes, the Patrick Healy thing is one of my favorite things about dear old Alma Mater. Read his biography a few years ago. Very interesting read!

Mrs. Buff might feel that you are a little TOO quick - if you know what I mean. ;D Easy, now. Fortunately, there is no Mrs. Buff at this point in time. Allows me to sit around my apartment, drinking beer and typing HoyaChat play-by-play whenever I damn well please. MsBuffaloHoya - due to her current status - has no choice but to put up with it. As for the "too quick" comment, there is a years-long ongoing one-upsmanship between aggy and myself regarding our respective stats were we to get together and compete in a series of NFL Combine-like drills. brasky - Billy Joel is awful. Listen to Boz... he knows that of which he speaks.
