TAKE THE GAME/FIGHT TO THEM! Don't let Adrien and company bully you and for goodness sakes--do NOT leave Jerome Dyson open from behind the arc--he's the main weapon they have on a poor offensive basketball team--but a physical team who will own the glass if our kids don't bring an attitude from opening tip. We owe UConn big time--and only way to enter BET is to kick the living BLEEP out of Calhoun and then let him know to get his fat, lard butt off the damn court as he spends more time on the court then the players do!
Beating them badly would END their season for 2nd consecutive year on OUR COURT and I'd love to set tone for upcoming month with a blowout win over these jerks.

Connecticut's best road win of the season is St. Johns.
They are 0-5 versus the top 50 and 2-7 on the road. We need to clinch the Big East regular season title.
That's pretty much all I have to say about that.

Losing tonight was the worst thing that could have happened to UConn.

I logged on this morning and am proud to say I only clicked to this thread. I'm past last night.
We all should clear our heads and get ready for Saturday.
I wouldn't even call last night a bump in the road. Losing in the BET semi-final last year was that. I think all would agree we finished last season in strong fashion.
Last home, game, a week's rest, an inexperienced foe I like how it sets up.

this game won't be easy. sure, uconn struggles to score but they are aggressive, very good defensively, and they kill teams on the boards. not a good matchup when you consider our struggles with turnovers and rebounding. this game is going to say a lot about the makeup of this hoyas team.

I think JTIII is losing some patience with Wallace and Sapp as evidenced by Rivers' increased minutes in the last handful of games. I'm guessing those guys will turn it around against UCONN and for the rest of the season though. ** Also, I have one extra ticket 20 rows behind Hoyas' bench in Section 101 to the first/highest bidder (email me at vze1srfr@verizon.net if interested).

I am still sick to death about the Orange loss. It appears that Boehiem has been breeding mutant rat boys in the basement. This Devendorf fool needs to pay the price. I am usually not this vindictive, but I really can not help it. The wine bag coach needs to go down as well. Let's re-group and at least get a #2 regional seed.

Kill the Huskies. Eat their children. Show no mercy to their young, quivering turnover-ridden pups. Let's let our seniors go out on a good note: Worst to First!

Having this much rest in between games is exactly what we needed. It is time for Roy to put the beat down on Thabeet.
Then we can focus all our attention on winning the BET!

If you told me that we had to beat the number 12 team in the conference in the last game of the year to take the big east regular season trophy I would have taken that scenario in a heart beat. Now its here - lets get our rest and get our legs back and go to work.
UCONN has nothing to play for it this game other than keeping us from winning the title - regardless of how they do they are 12th in the conference and play Cuse/ND on the first day of the tournament.

Yesterday was an oddity. If you were too drunk to remember, it never happened. This being said I think we now realize that you can't always overcome poor shooting. I think we need to establish Roy inside everygame from the tip. It makes everything else open up, not that we weren't getting good looks before but a few easy buckets inside help. GO HOYAS...HURT the Huskies

Yeh, interesting set up to have UConn play Syr/ND in the first round of the BET. I think they would have a legit chance to beat both of those teams.
By the way, we lost both regular season finales under JT III. Let's come out and take care of business.

I disagree with you quite a bit regarding this. A - Rivers is seeing increased minutes as he's both grasping the offense more as the season goes on, as well as gives Jessie and Jon more time to rest. You forget that we play 3 guards, that's it - Jon and Jessie have a whole lot of minutes on those legs this year (if I'm not mistaken, those 2 lead the team in minutes on the year). B - Rivers plays excellent defense and also is a very underrated rebounder (and he's gaining more confidence in his shot as well). I dont think that Rivers' increased minutes are linked to anything besides JT3 trying to get his starting backcourt more blow on the bench and rest them for tourney time. And lets face it - Wallace's 17pts against Pitt would give no reason for JT3 to be frustrated with him. Both Jessie and Jon (sans last night) have played far and above expectations all year long.

Was that the longest Lic sentence(?) in board history -- although there is no period at the end so maybe he is just catching his breath.

I watched UCONN Louisville and came away with three things more than anything else:
1. UCONN hustles.
2. UCONN makes a lot of unnecessary mistakes.
3. UCONN does not shoot the ball well from ANYWHERE on the court.
We should win, because UCONN doesn't have enough talent for #1 to overcome #2 and #3.

And it's our senior day. The boys are going to play extra hard to make sure our only senior, Dizzy, gets some playing time. That means blowing out UConn.
