I think it comes down to this for Jeff:
Hoyas win tonight: Jeff Player of the Year
Hoyas lose tonight (because of Mr. Mcgoo whining): Jeff and Gray are co-players of the year.
Just like his freshman year when he got jobbed and he had to share it with Rudy"show me the $" GAY
HOYA SAXA - GET IT DONE ! ! !

HYPOTHETICAL: What happens if Roy breaks-out of his mini-funk of the past 3 games (due to early foul trouble and teams making even more of a concerted effort to keep the ball out of his hands in the low post) and puts up back-to-back 20 point, 10 rebound-type games while leading us to wins in our final two regular season games. In this same hypothetical, let's say Jeff puts up solid, but not overwhelming (at least to the overly-statistically-focused) 14 point, 6 rebound, 4 assist type of games, allowing Roy come to the fore in these games since that's what is working most effectively for us. Now, we all now Jeff has indicated he's concerned "with winning games, not awards" (great attitude, btw), and the above is certainly an "ideal case" scenario, but do you think Jeff AND Roy (instead of Gray) could be named Co-Player of the Year?
Have teammates ever been named Co-POY?
The coaches vote on the award, correct?
Does there have to be a literal tie in terms of number of votes for Co-Players of the Year to be named?

a W at the dome with Jeff doing what Jeff does would certainly be some nice padding to his POY resume...
I think he will have to play extremely well tonight to CEMENT it, but I think he will show enough for the rest of the season to take the award...
he just brings more to the table (although Roy's influence is certainly felt even when he's not putting up stats) and I think he will take it from Roy. Mr. Gray will not bring it enough down the stretch for him to take the award from a man who is clearly playing better than him.
