A short Sapp shout-out in today's Hoop Thoughts: "Sophomore guard Jessie Sapp isn't getting a whole lot of credit for Georgetown's late-season surge, but he should." sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writers/seth_davis/02/22/hoop.thoughts/1.htmlGiven how badly (and ignorantly) Davis dogged Sapp and JWall earlier in the year, I thought this passive "Hey, why doesn't Jessie get more respect from the media?" stance he's adopted was amusing. We're on to you, Seth.

"The emergent" Jessie Sapp, is doing just that in the national media. This nickname is gaining some traction.

whats up with the holes in Sapp's head Probably some medical condition. They seem to be increasing - maybe one for every win in the win streak?

This has been brought up before... unless you're Jessie Sapp and you wish to publicly share, keep the speculation out. If it is medical, I'm sure he's keeping it to himself for a reason. If not, it could be anything. Maybe he's just letting JT3's kids give him his haircuts. We don't know. Rumors of ring worm? Come on now. That's not what they need to hear coming down the stretch.

Davis is a loser. But he's right. Sapp looks like a different player out there now. He was so confident last night with the basketball it was awesome to watch.

not the time to look ahead, but sapp's emergence is going to be one of the key elements of our success next year. he is a much more confident player this year and that is only going to grow with time and success. we will be able to throw 5 very talented guards at the opposition next year.

Nothing really can be done except time and possible steroid cream. It sucks but nothing serious...

I think we're making Davis' point here. Jessie is our best passing guard, the only guy who can get in passing lanes for steals and still recover, our best rebounding guard, and a 40% shooter from three since conference play began. He just went for 30-11-7 against just 4 turnovers in two games when we needed to counter athletic guards on the road. Plus he has the added crowd-pleasing "skip to my lou" dribble when he blows by a defender.
And we're talking about his hair.

Jessie's development this season has been a joy to watch. He is, as the A Team likes to say, a rebounding machine. His ability to dribble drive, dish, pull up and shoot, and clog the lanes on D have really improved, and there's no doubt he's been a major part of our "last season surge."
It's a credit to both Jessie and the coaching staff that he's been doing what he's doing. The best part: it's all part of III's system and philosophy.

I love this stuff. He's only underappreciated by fools like Seth Davis who pay no attention.
Jessie is very appreciated by the team, the fans and I bet Scottie Reynolds appreciates his defense in teh 2nd half of the Nova game.
Seth is an idiot. The only analyst out there who I think pays attention and does a consistently good job is freaking Jay Bilas. I hate to give a Dookie credit for anything, but he's pretty good.
