Dr. Lunardi is on TV right now, and he is loving the Hoyas. He eagerly proclaims us a #4 seed as long as we take care of business down the line. What I like about the praise at this point in the season is that we have earned it...nothing is based on speculation. Let's go Hoyas...keep up the good work. As lic says, one game at a time, and we have good things coming!

He also puts MD in at 11. Beating that Duke team sure was huge...

Didn't Lunardi also have NINE teams in from the ACC? Hey thanks for the props & everything, Joe, but you're still irrelevant & predictions like that about the jump shot conference don't exactly add to your credibility. I think part of it is that a few people just refuse to accept the fact that UMCP and Duke probably won't get there (living in denial about Duke I can understand, but not about the Twerps).

That Duke win was huge for them but they still have to play at Duke, at Clemson, at NC State and face UNC at home. It's still uphill for the Twerps to finish above .500 in conference and that'll be a prereq for an at-large this year. and Boz is correct, Lunardi is basically a ridiculous little man....

My favorite analytical gem from Mr. Lunardi was his "telling" UNC that they needed to play better defense and give up fewer 80 point games. Meanwhile kenpom shows UNC as the best defensive team in the country taking pace into account. One would think a guy like Joe would understand that nuance.

I loved his comment to GU to go out and get some more marquee wins. There's only one team ahead of us in the conference. Other than Pitt, where are we going to get these wins? Should we add Florida and UNC to next week's schedule? What an idiot.

Does anybody understand these "protected seeds" well? I thought that if you finish w/ a top 4 seed, you get to play your first round games relatively close to home (which for us this year, would mean Winston-Salem, Buffalo, Lexington, or Columbus) ... yet Lunardi has us playing in Spokane. Is this possible? Or just an oversight by Lunardi? Anyway, I know he's not the most popular guy on this board, but I'm not going to knock a Philly guy in public.
Obviously, if we're a 5 or up, none of this matters ... but if we're going to be more than a few hours drive from DC, I hope we're in Chicago or New Orleans instead of Spokane. Better food.

I'm not sure, but the bracket where we're listed as playing in Spokane probably doesn't have us listed as a top 4 seed. Speaking of food in Spokane, I may know of guys that can score us some good mushrooms... ;D

ESPN has 9 ACC teams making the tournament, it makes me so angry, God I hope this does not happen!

makes no sense Maryland and GT both get wins and are suddenly in. Especailly confusing is GT win oer Uconn getting them in. ACC should have no more than 6 teams top. And i think one of the virginias will screw up enough to fall out too. So i only really see 5 UNC, Duke(most likely), BC, and 2 of UVA, VT, Clemson, Florida st.
