Big East Conference:
Locks: Pittsburgh, Marquette Teams that should be in: Villanova, Georgetown, West Virginia Work left to do: Notre Dame, Providence, Syracuse, Louisville
Pitt and Marquette are good to go. Georgetown is a virtual lock at this point. West Virginia got a huge home win over UCLA to overset getting routed by Pitt. Notre Dame is courting disaster. Villanova's improved its lot.
Should be in:
Georgetown [18-5 (8-2), RPI: 26, SOS: 41] Pounded Marquette at home after winning at Louisville to cap a big week with a seven-game winning streak. Computer numbers are so-so, but double-digit Big East wins will remedy that problem. The Hoyas look all but set to be dancing.sports.espn.go.com/ncb/bubblewatch?id=43

I saw that earlier and rolled my eyes. How is Marquette a lock and we aren't? The only answer I could come up with was....it's ESPN

Other than Pitt, does Marquette have some superstar victory to their credit that I'm not aware of?

This guy instantly lost credibility with me when, for Villanova, he said "Computer numbers remain excellent, but there's still no real marquee win to shop around. Beating G'town or Marquette would be nice."
Ummmm. They already did beat Georgetown.
(It has since updated it to say "Computer numbers remain excellent, but there's still no real marquee win to shop around. Beating G'town (for the sweep) or Marquette would be nice.")
What is this, amateur hour!?

Did anyone else watch the Providence-Pitt game. PC looked like they were content to just hang in with Pitt at Pitt. At no point in the second half did I think that PC might win. They scored consistently down the stretch but played atrocious defense when it mattered. They made Aaaron Gray look like a 1999 Shaq.

They're not in my Top 25 anymore... Filo if Duke isn't a quality win for Marquette, then they must be a bad loss for us, right? ;D
