Did anyone else see the cheerleaders collide at midcourt during their flipping routine?

Yes. Best part of it was that no one in the stands gasped or made any show of sympathy...I'm pretty sure everyone laughed. Hilarious.

Ohhh yes there was a whole lot of laughter. Team Underberg had beer come out of noses.

That was me.
You know, your comments don't occur in a vacuum. Some of us cheerleaders do read the talk boards and see what you are saying about us.
There were many expressions of shock, concern, and sympathy from crowd members with a great deal more class and sensitivity than you have displayed. Not only that, but we were commended for getting up and finishing the routine with our injuries.
Way to support your fellow Hoyas, guys. Thanks a lot.

Megan, I assure you, most of us love the cheerleaders and it was commendable that you finished your routine. On behalf of all the posters here, I apologize for the insensitive remarks.
By the way, great job at the Gala. I don't know if it was mentioned in the Gala thread, but one of the classy touches at the Ritz was that our cheerleaders lined the stairwell as everyone entered. Very cool.
Keep up the great work.

Very cool. Keep up the great work. Let me second that. One of the cheerleaders in the collision got right back up and into position to hoist one of her teammates up into the air, even though it was pretty clear that she was shaken up. Not sure if it was you Megan, but I respected that, and I think most of the fans did too. Thanks!

It's impossible to find it funny when someone could have gotten hurt. Hope you and/or your fellow cheerleaders are over it and Hoya SAXA!

Megan- I didn't catch the mistake, but I do know how hard the cheerleaders work and with few resources. The fact that you all worked the Gala, with no food, AFTER working the game Saturday.... nothing but respect. And I told a few of you so at the time. Hang in there, keep working. Your efforts are appreciated.

Let me also apologize for the insensitive remarks, Megan. I gasped when it occurred and was relieved to see you gals recover so quickly. One of my girlfriend's in high school was a cheerleader and I am quite aware of the dangers involved.
You gals are working very hard out there, and I do note that the squad has grown in number since my days on the Hilltop. Your enthusiasm and dedication do not go unnoticed.
Hoya Saxa.

Just wanted to add the the cheerleaders had to work at the gala in their uniforms on the stairs where it was freezing cold, and then they didn't even get to eat at the gala (they had to eat in the back with the "help" and wait a long time before getting any food, most of the ones I know decided to leave before that, since they didn't get to see any of the speakers anyway). I think our cheerleaders are incredbly underappreciated for all the hard work they do... Keep up the good work, girls and boy!

megan, pay no mind to the insensitive posters that find hilarity in the injury of others. they are only compensating for their own wretched existences. many of us appreciate the sacrifices you guys make for the team and the school. please dont bucket all the fans in that category.
