Anyone else see the post-game interview with Tyler Palko after the Pitt-ND game (won by Pitt 41-38)? He was screaming through the whole interview and dropped the F-Bomb, saying something to the tune of "Im so f***ing proud of this team". After the interview ended the announcers had to repeatedly apologize and blamed it on "the heat of the moment".

Haha, yeah I saw it, I loved it. He was yelling so loud in the interview, I had no idea why. I guess it was the adrenaline that was responsible for the volume and the F-bomb. Can't really blame him.
For some reason, I find it so funny when this kinda stuff happens. Perhaps he should have called ear muffs before he said that. ;D

He apologized profusely in his post-game press conference appearance apparently. I don't see why this is a story. When you put microphones on the field of play, you hear things. I don't care if it's before or after the game - if you have beef with what the guys say, get your mikes off the field.
"You think you so tough? Put a jersey on!!" - Warren Sapp, to Mike Sherman...one of the greatest exchanges I've ever heard.
Oh, and is this really something worth posting on HoyaTalk? C'mon guys...

The worst part of the whole thing was Tom Hammond apologizing like HE'D just sworn. In his pro-Notre Dame end-of-game comments he apologized that an otherwise great day was marred by Palko's language. Gimmie a break. Perhaps a great ND day was marred by their HORRIBLE tackling and inability to stop the Pitt passing attack?? Sounded like Duke Vitale or any one of those pro-ACC morons making excuses when one of their teams loses. Typical.
GO HOYAS!!!

most sports broadcasts have adopted a 5 second delay to avoid things like that, I am surprised that NBC hasnt done so yet, especially after Earnhardt got in trouble for this recently which was also on NBC.

I watched the end of that game, and as I was listening to the post-game interview, I thought I heard him say that, and I was mildly amused... but then it passed and I didn't think about it again, until it became the "controversy" of the day. It's a good thing we have a 24/7 media cycle, to turn this into a news item.
