UNI has lost one this week, so that should help (mildly).

Ucon was up by 11 at the half and lost by 14?! They will be juiced up when we play - they may need it to make it to the BET....

Announcers on the Nova-ND game said that Brey has called McAlarney's family and is scheduled to visit with them (on Long Island, I beleive) when the Irish play St. John's at the Garden. Interesting. Clearly, the McAlarney family isn't happy with the way in which the situation was handled. It seems that Brey's visit may portend McAlarney's return to the team after the suspension has run its course...

Is this ND-'Nova game the worst officiated game ever? Terrible, inconsistent, poorly managed...just bad.
Well, good to see ND win anyway.

No it's not. I'd rather have ND loose to get us in the rankings plus we play Nova twice so it's more important for us for them to do well.

If that meeting happened, it probably happened when ND was @ SJ on the 23rd, the same day the decision came out. I dont thnk ND will be in the NY Metro again til the Rutgers in March> EditSee above post, meeting already happened

UNC routed Arizona 92-64 in Tucson MINUS 2 key players (Wright and Ginyard). AZ has now lost 4 of their last 5 - hard to see them staying in the top 25 this week.

Cuse losses always brighten up my day From the Syracuse blog, "Unbelievable. Syracuse did not score a field goal for a 9 1/2 minute stretch late in the second half as Louisville erased a 14-point deficit and turned it into a 76-71 win" - to which i say "nicceeeeeeeeee"

If for some reason Marquette was to somehow blow tomorrow's game our next game could be for 2nd place, and that could not escape the voters' notice

I'm all for one more week of not being in the top 25. As long as our RPI is strong that's all I care about.
Cuse losing in that fashion was so nice. Devendorf turning the ball over at the end of the game with that stupid half court pass was priceless. Nothing like a Cuse guard making a bonehead play.

You have to love UConn falling apart too.
