Congrats to chinatown, who was closest in predicting the Rutgers game correctly (69-55 versus the actual result of 68-54). Bring on The Hall.

Sagarin shows the Hoyas as a 4-5 point favorite. Pomeroy likes the Hoyas by 8 points

This one is going to be much tougher than Rutgers. The Hall is decent and the freshman PG Harvey is very good.
The Hall will play us teh same way Nova did. Press us and force us to take 7-10 seconds off the clock before we get into our slow offense and force us into taking outside shots.
They run A LOT and will pick up the pace.
Hoyas 73 SHU 68
Decided in the last minute or two.

golly is our team really that bad? i mean i dont see how this team will compete with us. whats with all the low-mid single digit predictions? this game will be different from nova for the following factors:
1. they got no one big enuf who can prevent the entry pass to our big men like nova did. 2. so we will not stahl on offense like before nor be solely dependent on hitting the outside shot. 3. this will take pressure off of our guards who clearly got fatigued last game. 4. we have had 2 days to rest for this game by hanging out in jersey the whole time. no classes just focusing on this game. 5. coach isnt working the guys so hard in practice yesterday so that fatigue wont be as much of a problem. 6. nova had 3 seniors playing significant minutes, hall only has 1. experience matters a lot at this level. 7. we are ready to handle the press. 8. coach is going to let them run more.
basically, unless we totally fail in execution (i.e. very cold shooting, excessive foul trouble, many missed fts, lazy defense, massive tos) or they shoot the lights out, i dont see a strategy hall can use to neutralize our offense and their offense hasnt been all that impressive.

And for AustinHoya above, that was probably the most dubious moment of Griffin's college career when Demetrius dunked on him like he was an Oompa-Loompa. Of course the most dubious moment of his pro-career likely involved his public misadventures with his uh, manual transmission.

Hoyas 72 Seton Hall 56. The Real Hoyas Show up not the one that showed up during our losses and the hoyas kick some hall ass. However the real Reason the hoyas will win is the efforts of the Hoya Blue Road trip!

Seton Hall IS a decent team, and I like Gause and Harvey both a lot. But they aren't on our level. Yea, they're quick, but we are the better team, and we're going to go in and play our game. We might have struggled a little this season, and they have done alright, but they still are not on in our league in terms of talent. Hoyas by 16, Hibbert with 25, named BE PotW.

Hunter's transfer probably killed me more than any other player (if Kenny Brunner had stayed more than half a year, he might be it). He was one of my favorites. I don't think we've had a player with anything like his athleticism anywhere on the court since, and definitely not at guard.
Of course, he got hurt before he transferred and never really recovered. I saw a game or two of his at UNLV and he was more or less a jump shooter. But if he hadn't been hurt -- well, Tony Bethel was a pretty good freshman, but we only missed the NCAAs by that much the next year. Hunter could have been the difference.
