Hopefully he doesn't go in the draft and its a moot point anyway, but here's what he wrote on 12/29, so this was before UM and ND, but I hadn't seen this posted anywhere
Jeff Green, SF, Jr., Georgetown Scouts still love Green's overall game, but his numbers, across the board, have been disappointing.
Scouts appreciate his versatility, point forward skills, and defensive play. But most scouts expect potential lottery picks to average more than 11.7 points, especially when the team is struggling. Green took just two shots against Old Dominion, four against Oregon and six versus Duke -- all losses for the Hoyas.
You can blame a lot of this on Georgetown's offense, which is a bad fit for a player like Green (in this aspect he reminds me a little of Rajon Rondo at Kentucky last year -- good player, bad fit).
Still, he has to assert himself more to get his stock back up into the late-lottery range.

Let's take up a fund to make sure every NBA Scout sees this but oes not see any highlights of the ND game. Let's not get Jeff tempted this year.

That was probably true in early December, but hardly true over the last few years.
Also, the bad fit comment shows how little Chad Ford knows about basketball. This offense is a perfect fit for Jeff and it shows in his assist totals, the fact that he gets to go inside and outside, etc. The only "bad fit" is the pace which artificially deflates his stats about 15%.
That concept is hard for a guy like Chad Ford to understand, but I expect many NBA GMs can get their arms around it.

I agree with Mr Ford. No way is Jeff ready to head to the NBA this season. He needs another season to really learn how to "assert" himself in our offense. Likewise, Roy needs more development and isn't ready to head to the NBA this year either.

I do agree with Ford. Jeff is an excellent college player and really exciting when he's on his game. I hope he continues to lead GU to the promised land. But I think it's far from clear that he will make a great pro, in a league where he would be among peers or superiors rather than lessers. Maybe a *good* pro. I would expect him to go late first round or even early second. I also remember what someone here posted a few months ago, that Jeff was a great fit for our offense but that our offense was not necessarily the best fit for Jeff. It doesn't allow him to exploit and develop his skills fully. In any event, he definitely needs another year!

I think Jeff will be an excellent complementary player in the pros. He's not a scoring leader and never had been -- even in HS. He'll be valuable but somewhat unheralded.
As for the fit comments, I thought they were bullcrap then and bullcrap now. This sytem puts the ball in his hands much more than any other system would. It allows him to play inside and outside. It requires him to pass well. It allows him to drive and post up. It allows him to take threes. What more game expanding do you need? If Jeff is missing an area of game it isn't the offense's fault (or any offense's fault), it's that the player is lacking or behind on key skills.

jeff is a great floor general and a good fit for the system we have. the frustration people often express about jeff having to step up and take on the offensive scoring responsibilities on his shoulders i think is expecting too much.
jeff is not yet the type of player who can consistently create off the dribble or blow by someone off the dribble. at this point he is more comfortable as a north-south player. note the 2 times he attempted to drive by the notre dame defender with cross-over and a cross-under moves, he wound up losing control of the ball and turning it over. so when he is defended hard by a solid defender or double teamed, he passes the ball away as he should instead of creating something by himself and thus only gets a few shot attempts in those games. whats great about jeff is that he plays within himself and does the fundamentals extremely well. he will in time develop consistently reliable dribble penetration moves. but until then, we just need to make sure the rest of the team has a good plan B when our opponent focuses on him defensively.

How great would that be? You know Florida losses a couple of their guys this year, UNC will probably lose one or two, Duke is suspect, Ohio St will lose Oden, UCLA losses a couple, Kansas can't play in the tourney anyways. We sneak one in this year and then go for back to back next year, BAM!!

I completely agree with SF. I think Green is a mirror image of Boris Diaw who has made himself a very nice player in Phoenix. Check out Diaw's lines, some nights it's 20 point and some nights it's 4 in the same amount of minutes. He doesn't do one thing particularly great but everything very well. He will be an excellent 5th guy in the starting rotation but never a star. He is Luke Walton for LA or Battier (sorry to compare him to a dukie) in Hou.
