guhoyas.cstv.com/genrel/122906aaa.htmlIt's somewhat scary that my formative experience as a Hoya fan featured Kevin Braswell so prominently--first jersey I bought was a navy blue #12. If he were Leo's, Braswell was alternately either Chicken Finger Thursday or...well, anything else served at Leo's, and you weren't quite sure which day it was when you walked in. Tom's Top 20 list is pretty good. A Generation Burton-only Top 20 list would be hysterical.

Nice looking set up, fellas. Looks like it'll be a fun read. As for a lic edition of the blog .... can you say stream of consciousness? I don't know if I could handle lic in real time

congrats tom and hawkes nice blog altho lichoya still aint really sure what a freaking blog really is.. go hoyas beat blue .. Wikipedia attempts to define the blog , although it may confuse people even more: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BlogGenerally, I think today's blogs share three common elements: 1) they are generally based on opinions or opinions on news stories, 2) they are usually searcheable by topic, and 3) they are generally formed using some sort of blog friendly software. By that definition, the HHC blog and View From The Hilltop are closer to "journals" than blogs because they are not author-specific and tend not to be updated 24/7 as many blogs have become. HoyaSaxa.com and such sites tend not to be blogs either but news aggregators, such as what you see on TVNewser.com (heep://www.tvnewser.com) or Jim Romenesko's media page (http://www.poynter.org/column.asp?id=45)--the game recaps and history sections are original content, but the links are still the main focus. And yes, I'd like to see the Generation Burton Top 20.

Tom-
loved your pick of John Duren at #5 and Shelton at #11. Too often these pre-Ewing Hoyas aren't given their due.
I was recalling this week with a Holy Cross alumnus how John played the pants off point guard (and now commentator) Ronnie Perry.

I was recalling this week with a Holy Cross alumnus how John played the pants off point guard (and now commentator) Ronnie Perry. That was a heck of a game - wasn't Ronnie averaging 30+ ppg and leading the nation that year? He was held to single digits if memory serves. Oh, and speaking of blogs (and a non-basketball-related hijack here), check out Cardinal Sean O'Malley's blog.

Dan-
My recollection is that over the period 75-80 when Holy Cross was somewhat resurgent, that we owned them. I don't recall Geprgetown losing a game to HC over that period.

You're right, starting in 76. Don't remember his name, but the Cross had a longhaired center that beat up on us in ,I think, 75.

Sorry, Hoya73, perhaps because the game was in Worcester the result didn't stay with me.
Is the player you're thinking of Chris Potter? A number of us had long hair back then. He would have been a freshman.

Yes, Chris Potter. Killed us when he was a freshman, but we paid him back three times starting in 76.
