What do you guys think will be the key to victory
Hibberts going to have a handful with Sims - a talented low post presence.

Based on many past performances, Hibbert does quite well against other good low post players- it's the small teams that he often struggles against. I would bet on Roy doing pretty well....

Some quick Pomeroy-related thoughts, since I haven't seen Michigan this year:
1. We're three point favorites (7 point favs in a neutral locale) 2. They are strong defensively but not a great offensive team 3. They rebound well 4. Not particularly great shooters 5. They turn the ball over as much as we do 6. They have Sims and Abrams and Petway who are all strong defensively in the frontcourt, and that keeps opponents' FG% down, which is how Michigan has won.

We have JT III, they have Tommy Amaker, which is why we are favored at their court.

petway can fly, but thats about it...courtney sims was very highly touted out of high school but has been a major disappointment in his years at michigan...he definitely has the potential to explode, but has been criticized by michigan fans as lazy and lackadaisacal on the court. abrams is probably their best scorer but they lost a huge force when horton left.
judging from watching them play in my years at michigan, and that disgusting ucla team, we should beat this team by 8-10...they have some athletic wings though and if we dont step up with help defense, etc., it could be too close for comfort.

8-10 sounds about right to me.

Somewhat off topic - but does anyone know of any bars in Mont Tremblant that carry ESPN2. From what I recall Canada has some knockoff version of ESPN that only shows hockey and moose racing. Help would be appreciated

I was in Canada last year during basketball season. While I was there the hoyas had a couple of ESPN games (regular espn i believe since it was during the bigeast tourney). Anyway, despite getting ESPN at the place where i was staying, the programming was completely different. It was basically hockey 24 hours a day. When there wasn't a game on, there would be like a "game day" equivalent for hockey. It was all they covered. Very hard even to get US college basketball scores on the tickers, etc.. Best of luck to you. Oh and if you're a doctor Phil fan, you're also in luck as they seem to love him up there. If you look through enough channels you can find a permutation of some dr. phil show pretty much 24 hrs a day. strange and sad.

Their guards are worse than ours. They're very athletic, but our backcourt and forwards are starting to play a little better.
I wouldn't be surprised if we lost to them, but I have a feeling that the Hoyas hit their Free Throws down the stretch and pull this one out by 8.

Because their strength on defense is the front line, we will need to shoot well from the outside and/or penetrate for easy dishes in order to win. If the GU guards do not step up their game, it could be a long day.

Hmmm, a familiar refrain surfaces in Ann Arbor: "A measure of the pathetic level of our hoops program under TA's watch, that we're wondering if we can stay within 20 of a decent Georgetown team. Also, they were awful not too long ago, and seem to have turned things around. This ability seems to have eluded the in over his head TA, for some reason. Darn facilities!"
