I think slowly but surely Summers is becoming the leader of this team. He has a few bad games, probably pressing and doing to much, but I see him developing. He may be the go to guy by the end of the season. I just wish Jeff had more of a mean streak in him, or be more selfish. But I do see Summers emerging in this role

Summers has shown me that drive since I saw him play in highschool but I do think he will still defer to the big fellas until next year...

I agree, I wish jeff showed a mean streak. He needs to grow his hair back.

I don't know about a leader- he still doesn't pass worth a dang. He is slowly working himself into being a good, functional part of this team.... but he is still a turnover machine, I don't know if you can be a leader in a precision offense without the ability to pass or catch a ball.

Passing is a skill that can be taught and practiced - I am not worried about giving a gifted scorer room to grow by giving him some PT during BE season.

OK, but big difference: I suspect DaJuan may have a few more hoops skills than I; I suspect he would be able to pass and catch better if he worked on it a bit more. I never claimed to be much more than a spot-up shooter; DaJuan will have to be a lot more in III's system.

stop hatin' on Summers. he is a stud. Not hatin' on him, just voices from the stands giving him suggestions on how to improve his already smooth and solid game. I mean, if I had Summers' game, I'd be throw dribblin' the ladies every night, with the two-handed tomahawk jam more often than not.

Summers WILL BE a stud. Right now he's still learning. I'm sorry, but no one who has a 1-20 ast to TO ratio is a stud. Yet.

you know why his turnovers are so high?
he's passing too much...
In the immortal words of AggyPryd's little brother, "You cain't turn the ball over if you're shooting."

Aggy- every bball player has to know how to pass and catch, but especially in the P'town Offense. Ability to cut, shoot, and pass is crucial to being able to play there; Dajuan has clearly not had to pass a lot in his career so far, but don't you think if he wants to go to the next level he should, at some point, learn how to dish the rock?
