The picture with Camille's recap today was taken when Roy threw up an ugly attempt amid 3 defenders---kind of a flip over-his-head. During the game, a huge %age of fans booed, thinking he MUST have been fouled. Well, the photo shows no defense-caused contact. Looks to me like a timid attempt to score. While I confess I was part of the large %age of the fans boo-ing, I also confess that even if that foul does get called, we still lose (not even the 7'2" ravenous beast can convert a seven point play....yet).
The refs definitely did not cost us this game.

For the record, I am not claiming the refs caused the loss.

Post. Of. The. Decade. This thread makes absolutely no sense to me. Not sure what a "Hey look!!! The refs didn't screw this one up!!!" thread does for anyone. Vegas - was this a highly controversial call that took place in a pivotal moment? Just confused is all...

I'd say yes. Perhaps I should have just posted the thought in the worst.fans.ever thread. The play happened (yes, I checked the Play-by-Play) with 3:37 remaining in the 2nd Half, and the Hoyas trailing by 4. The crowd went nuts.
I started the thread to (without directly accusing anyone) hopefully get some of the conspiracy theorists that always cry foul during the games to think/respect more. Sometimes Verizon Center (& this Board) seems like it could be called home to the Steve Czaban Fan Club.

There were some terrible no-calls where I saw Roy clearly get hacked and the crowd went nuts and there were others where the crowd went nuts when it was a good no-call.
I mean, I was sitting in the 3rd row so i had a pretty good view during the 1st half and I'd like to think I can distinguish a foul from a block.
Whatever. Take this for what it's worth.
