[To state the obvious, this is entirely fake]
JTIII Hires MrSIXER as Basketball Consultant
Following Georgetown's defeat last night, John Thompson III sat in his office and pondered what needed to be done to get the team ready for conference play. He needed advice. Rather than contact his assistant coaches, his father, or his brother Ronny, JTIII dug deep into his contacts list and found the number of his favorite Kenner League Coach, MrSIXER.
"I remember the outstanding job he did with the Electro-Lite team this summer and I know he's been at all of our games this year, so I knew he'd have some valuable insight for us," Thompson said.
And so, as newly named basketball consultant, Mr.SIXER has some big ideas for this year's Hoyas.
"We need a true point guard," he said as he accepted the job offer. "Roy and Jeff are struggling because they aren't getting the ball in their happy place and we need a point guard that can shoot the three, draw 2 defenders and pass to Jeff or Roy in their comfort zone."
When it was pointed out that the team did not have a true point guard last year during their Sweet 16 run, Mr.SIXER responded:
"Hey, Ashanti Cook hit a lot of 3 pointers and created his own shots. He also had 2.5 assists per game last season. You cannot underestimate those 2.5 assists."
And so, now that Georgetown has officially entered the Mr.SIXER point guard era, what could be done this year to save the season?
"Well... it is going to be impossible this season without a true point guard." Mr. Sixer said. "However, I do have a few tricks up my sleeve. I've been scouting at Yates and I see some real point guard potential there. I also heard that Matt Causey isn't enjoying himself at Georgia Tech and might want to come back."
Thompson smiled as Mr. Sixer expounded his ideas. "You see," he said. "This guy has the tools to make us a winner again."
