It's funny when you only see one side of the debate. You really have to love the message board guy that is a self-professed expert and only comes around to say "I told you so" after a loss.

um, where did i mention jon wallace in this thread. please show me Your calling out our guards as being a weakness and the title of this thread states that we need a PG to win. Last i checked, Jon Wallace is our defacto PG, so you must be reffering to him. so he is a "defacto" pg now?

"WHAT?!?!?! Go away forever. Its humorous that you blame this on the guards. How about we hear your opinion on the forwards? Stop being redundant and see if you can contribute anything useful."
"Perhaps you didn't watch the game. Roy and Jeff DID get the ball in the post. The problem was they failed to get good position in the post and could not do anything once they were there. Actually, Jeff rarely even attempted to get the ball in the post. He mostly just floated around and got his first two points of the game on a terrific inbounds pass by JWall which he merely needed to drop into the hoop. Don't blame the guards for the results on post play. By the way, I would still like to hear your opinion on how well the non-guards played and I would be really amused to hear you blame the horrid defensive rebounding on the guards. "
"So who played better, the guards(people who tried to enter the ball... w/e) or the guys in the post? Answer this straight up, which cost us the game?"
"If you read my posts I did not once say I would ignore you... I would like you to answer the question though."
These are the posts I have made. Not once did I say I was ignoring you and I didn't edit a single one. If you are afraid to answer the question just say so...

Coach said that we got the ball in good position, and at one point even changed how we entered the ball in response to the Duck defense. Our bigs didn't produce in the post tonight.

You really have to love the message board guy that is a self-professed expert and only comes around to say "I told you so" after a loss. why come around when u beat ball st and listen to people act as if they are a BE caliber team? if u want to lower the expectations to ball state, fine. u want to lower them to odu? fine. all u have to do is state your expectations are at that level and u will get a totally different post game opinion from me.

Sorry, can't let this one get by. Roy needs to be throwing it down every single time he gets the ball in the post. If a hand is in the way trying to block the shot, he better be trying to break it when slamming the ball through the rim. The fact of the matter is: He still brings the ball down too low. He still gets blocked by smaller players because of his slow reaction. And he still gets bumped out of position by smaller players. It is only the occasional rebound and swinging of the elbows in which he actually looks aggressive. If he's mad, he should be mad at himself for still being soft more times than not. so says the fan who has never played division 1 basketball as if roy is going up against st leo players................... Hmmm, let's see I spent my summers in Los Angeles at UCLA or in San Diego at UCSD running with D1 and pro players. Guess that doesn't count.

so he is a "defacto" pg now? if you are not referring to Jonathan Wallace when you speak of our guard play, may you then specify who the problem is? guard play. i cant get more elementary than that. the guards as a unit. they have to be judged as a unit in our system since there is no such thing as a 1 and 2, right? O's guards made ours look like their feet were stuck in mud!!!!!!!! this is not the ivy league people!!!! u need some street ball in your guards at some point speed kills!!! this will be a constant theme all season for us........................u can pass and cut all u want want in the ivy's, in the BE and come march, u better have u at least one guard who can revert to the playground. just ask coach k....................

just wondering what you guys think of grevais vasquez now? great question............................he's no jon wallace!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats correct. Hes more pompous and arrogant and has less control and leadership. He also plays at a much faster, and in higher scoring games so his stats are inflated compared to Jons. I would take Jon any day.
