I don't think you'd be happy even if we had John Stockton in his prime. This thread is pathetic. why? b/c its the truth? who made effective entry passes to the post tonight? who penetrated and dished to roy giving him easy dunks to build his confidence keep thinking the system is more important that the players Who scored 17 points when the big boys were completely ineffective when they had the ball? Point guards also play to the hot hand, and neither Jeff or Roy had it at all tonight. Time to ignore again.

WHAT?!?!?! Go away forever. Its humorous that you blame this on the guards. How about we hear your opinion on the forwards? Stop being redundant and see if you can contribute anything useful. what position is supposed to get the forwards and center the ball in their comfort zone, oh wise one? f u dont know, take a peek at maryland's success this year and what position they upgraded Perhaps you didn't watch the game. Roy and Jeff DID get the ball in the post. The problem was they failed to get good position in the post and could not do anything once they were there. Actually, Jeff rarely even attempted to get the ball in the post. He mostly just floated around and got his first two points of the game on a terrific inbounds pass by JWall which he merely needed to drop into the hoop. Don't blame the guards for the results on post play. By the way, I would still like to hear your opinion on how well the non-guards played and I would be really amused to hear you blame the horrid defensive rebounding on the guards.

Perhaps those mentioned could work a little harder to get open, and when they do, NOT FADE AWAY ON LAYUPS OVER PEOPLE THEY STAND AT THE VERY LEAST 5 INCHES TALLER THAN.... like i said, look at maryland and what position they made a MAJOR upgrade to and how their big men look totally different this year compared to last. why work harder when u know u still wont get the ball where u want it?? these kids are human and frustration sets in at some point. get a damn pg. period

Jeff Green is a ballhandler. If he's not, he needs to stop thinking NBA right now. Because non-ballhandling 6'9", finesse players don't play in the NBA.
Roy may not be a ballhandler, but I'm pretty sure he's expected to shoot 50% over Maarty Luenen. He had enough good chances to score.
Add in the fact that we again had no appreciable rebounding difference against a smaller team, while our only offense came from two perimeter players in Wallace and Egerson, and I know where the blame should go.

Sixer, from the COACH after the game:
On Roy
“I don’t think that the easy misses and there were a lot that he missed today were indicative of what has happened with him. He missed a lot of shots tonight that he has not been missing. We got the ball in positions.”
and
“I think we got good looks. We missed a lot of chippies today. We missed a lot of chippies and we had some key turnovers that we can’t afford to have. I gotta go back and look at it. We’ll try to figure that out as we go along.”
and
"We had to alter how we enter the ball and we ended up doing that."
Big guys missed some chip shots. This is not a case of not receiving a good pass from JW.

hello, the kid was cold and mad as hell b/c he has no one to get him the ball in his comfort zone Sorry, can't let this one get by. Roy needs to be throwing it down every single time he gets the ball in the post. If a hand is in the way trying to block the shot, he better be trying to break it when slamming the ball through the rim. The fact of the matter is: He still brings the ball down too low. He still gets blocked by smaller players because of his slow reaction. And he still gets bumped out of position by smaller players. It is only the occasional rebound and swinging of the elbows in which he actually looks aggressive. If he's mad, he should be mad at himself for still being soft more times than not.

So who played better, the guards(people who tried to enter the ball... w/e) or the guys in the post? Answer this straight up, which cost us the game?

roy had his opportunities where they got him the ball under the basket, and he failed to capitalize...jeff gets plenty of touches, but fails to make anything out of them and more often than not chooses to pass up the shot...at the risk of repeating the obvious, Jon Wallace is all our offense has going right now on a consistent basis, so how can you continue to attack him as our big weakness?

Last i checked, Jon Wallace is our defacto PG, so you must be reffering to him.
