I saw that story- great move, AI. For all of the dumb stuff he's done, he seems like a decent guy in many ways.

While there are occasional bumps in the road i.e. his tardy appearance and no dress at Fan Appreciation Night at the end of last season, Iverson comes across as a good citizen.
His devotion to Philadelphia seems real. His restrained response to the trade Iverson frenzy last year and his professed wish to finish his career here play well with me.
He could make a real contribution to stemming an escalating cycle of violence here. Seventeen people were shot in Philadelphia over the weekend, six fatally.

That's Iverson: goes from getting called out in a book for making sexy times outside the boundaries of marraige to extending a helping hand to this family. He's not an easy guy to figure out but I don't think anyone can plausibly argue that he's a bad person.
