Don't know if this is a new or old phenomenon, but the intro to ESPN's College Gameday Preview tonight had a 1/2 second clip of some dudes in WAG shirts who probably post here (sorry, I don't know what any of y'all look like). Also a 1/2 second clip of Brandon Bowman. Unfortunately GameDay kept the same song as last season for the intro. "Digger Phelps likes to analyze! Jay Bilas will keep you satisfied!"

speaking of gameday, they had their schedule on the show today, and they are going to be traveling to the Zoo for the Pitt-Georgetown game on Jan 13th....i think its only a partial schedule and they decide other games later based on how the season progresses...would be cool if they came to the hilltop (or Chinatown) for the Hoya-Pitt rematch, or even the Marquette game. Have they ever been to georgetown?

They'd have to change the game times of those home games to night games, which is unlikely to happen due to playing at Verizon Center. I believe that they only do College Gameday around 7 or 8 PM before a 8 or 9 PM tipoff. I'd like to see that intro. That might be from that disastrous Syracuse game in the B.E.T. They videotaped some of us waiting in the lobby of MSG before that game.

looks like all the sites have already been chosen for the whole year. while it'd be great to have a gameday for uconn at gtown in march (it's definitely a bigger game than marquette-pitt), i'm happier being the cbs afternoon game. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/College_GameDay_(basketball)#2007

Was that the Game Day introduction or an ACC preview? Jeez, there were lots of clips of Duke and Tyler.

also, i don't think our lease w/ Verizon Center permits us to get friday or esp saturday night games. they almost always save those for the caps and 'zards. can anyone remember a saturday night game at MCI?

Never mention that game again. That game was the worst thing I've ever experienced. It made me truly hate Syracuse. If there is any positive to be found, there it is. Some of us decrepit old fools had been a bit worried that the younger generation did not have a proper level of loathing, disdain and disgust for Syracuse. Now, you are thinking like a Hoya. As Jed Eckert said to Matt Eckert, "Let it turn! Let it turn little brother! Let it turn into something else!" But overall, I agree with The Kurgan (aka St. Petersburg): "Never mention that game. Never mention that game again!" Now, after having successfully incorporated both Red Dawn and Highlander into a single post, I am going to relax and get ready for Vanderbilt.

in 2001 against Pitt was a Saturday night game. That was when our undefeated season ended. I remember taking the metro back to NOVA and some lovely snow was coming down. a perfect way to end a terrible day.

That was an unusual day, being Inauguration Day, but it was, in fact, a Saturday evening game.

The Inauguration Day game against Pitt featuring Julius Page dunking on Ruben was a Saturday night. The depressing Providence game/my dinner with the PC assistant coaching staff two seasons ago was a Saturday night. Also, last year's home game against West Virginia was on a Sunday night, no? Something in common with these three that makes me not wanna keep trying weekend night games...
