While I'm not encouraged by the fact that he states his recruiting is wide open, I'm impressed that this well-spoken, well-travelled, intelligent young man is keeping his options open and looking to make a wise decision about his future. With that said, if he is looking, like he states, for a good linguistics program, and a challenge, he should look no further than the hilltop, as our linguistics program is among the best in the country. He sounds like the perfect Hoya candidate, so I can only hope that our staff is on top of his recruitment, and that he was impressed with his unofficial visit. With all that said, I have confidence in JT III, and in his little time as a Hoya, he appears to be employing a sound strategy. I like the sound of Garcia, though, so I hope we grab him.

I knew that abolishing the School of Language & Linguistics would come back to haunt GU.

This kid sounds like the IDEAL recruit for III's new system. If he is truly looking for a classroom challenge and the chance to compete on an elite level on the court, I'd say we have the best chance of the schools listed (Stanford hampered by that weak old Pac-10). Here's to the new staff going after his kid like crazy...especially since it sounds like he has so much more growth as a player in him!
GO HOYAS!!!

Thanks for posting link ID! There is an update on Insiders with Jose and he'll be visiting Penn tomorrow. Said that Georgia Tech, Florida State, and GU are recruiting him hardest right now.
