Roster will be trimmed to 12 later in the week. Chris Wright was one of seven who didn't make the cut.

www.usabasketball.com/men/2006/06_mu18_trials_invitees.htmlHere's the link. The only coverage I've seen is behind the pay wall at Rivals.com. No Macklin, but this isn't the best 22 players under 18 or anything quite like that. Tons of 2006 guys (Durant, Oden, Lawson, etc.) aren't their and most of the 2007 guys aren't as highly regarded as Austin. Nolan Smith does seem to be tearing it up - missing out on him to Duke will sting a little bit going forward, because he's probably the perfect backcourt mate to Freeman. Got a little off track, but what I meant to say was that it's not a snub or anything that Vernon isn't there.

I kinda hope Summers does not make the team so he can be seen in the Kenner league this summer.

Summers, a guard? Well, on this year's Hoyas team with Hibbert, Green, Macklin, maybe 6'8" doesn't seem quite so extraordinary.

I think they got that wrong - but hey if he's the answer to the questions at 2 the season could be very interesting. With a starting line up that's 6'1, 6'8, 6'10, 6'10, and 7'2

Put PE III at the point and we'll post up opposing teams all season long! I just hope that DaJuan and PE II don't mind chasing around small point guards on defense.

Jeff Could play the point, from an offensive standpoint... He's a superb passer, great court vision. You don't really need a point guard with a point-forward like him.
Obviously getting the ball up the court would be an adventure, but it's not impossible to imagine once over the halfcourt mark.
And obviously I'm trying to rationalize a pretty crazy, tongue-in-cheek idea, but hey, if Jeff improves his ballhandling, who knows??? People compared him to Boris Diaw, and Diaw was basically a point guard for a long time.
