If anything, this schedule may reflect a wiser approach to the KL. Last year, KL play began in mid-June, so freshmen did not compete for the first few contests because they were still completing their HS coursework. Additionally, we have Macklin already committed to an overseas event during June, and Summers is trying out for a national team.

The later start in July should allow the KL Schedule to correspond more closely to the actual breakdown for the first and second summer sessions at GU, thereby facilitating our players' participation to a greater degree.

In terms of GU recruits on these teams, I'll try my best with the following list. I may also include some other high major caliber recruits if warranted:

National Christian -- Biggie McClain (and they have a freshman PG who is good)
Bishop O'Connell -- Jason Clark (class of 2008)
Archbishop Carroll -- Jamar Samuels (class of 2007, medium interest)
Georgetown Prep -- Garvey Young (class of 2008)
DeMatha -- Austin Freeman and Chris Braswell
Bishop Ireton -- Shane Walker and Mike Williams (both low interest at GU (it seems), but getting high major looks)
SM Ryken -- They have a possible high major whose name I forget. They gave DeMatha a scare during the season, so this team could be very competitive.
Boo Williams Summer League -- CHRIS WRIGHT, Patrick Patterson (2007 PF), Ed Davis (2008 PF), Jason Clark ()
Triple Threat 17U -- Chris Braswell, Shane Walker and Mike Williams (see Ireton note), Jeff Jones (former UMD commit), Adrian Bowie (UMD lean), and a few others

I hope I got that right. As noted above, these players will not necessarily appear at the listed games if KL history is any indicator.

DeMatha dominated the entire game.

Freeman showed the dribble drive, long range, and midrange stop and pop, he is known for, throughout the first half. His game is very mature. He just allows the game to come him, a very smooth baller. But, he really can really explode to the basket and finish strong. In the second half in particular, but also in the first he showed the ability to handle the point. He dribble drived to the lane, drawing defensive coverage, and dishing to open players who converted, as well as, showing the ability to run the fastbreak.

He also showed some good lift with a nasty OOP.

Braswell (I'm fairly certain #14 was Braswell)l had a quiet game, but he was active around boards, had a nice step out jumper, and very solid put back off an offensive rebound. The talent was evident even if the numbers weren't all that impressive.

Braswell was kind of quite. The other big man from DeMatha actually looked better than Braswell did. I don't remember his number but he is the son of Harvey Grant, that played with the Washington Bullets. Another thing to note is that I was convientently sitting next to Braswell's dad and he said that his son wants to go to Georgetown.

The game after the DeMatha game was good. Both Bishop Ireton and Douglass each have a player that is 6'10". The one from Douglass is a Sophomore and the one from Bishop Ireton is a Junior. The Sophomore from Douglass outplayed Shane Walker and Mike Williams didn't play. And McClain didn't play for NCA.
