Or maybe it should be called pre, pre, pre, preseason bracketology. OK, I know this is INSANE, but it's worth noting that even Lunardi is giving us some love, giving us the 2 seed in the East and the presumptive Big East Tourney championship. Hey, I'd take it... sports.espn.go.com/ncb/bracketology

I don't like things like this- complete speculation, and someone always creeps up on people every year. Us at a 2 seed is ok, but implies we shouldn't make the Final 4. Why limit ourselves? And Yukon as a 3 seed? Puleeze.

Did someone notice who was a 1 seed in our part of the bracket? There I said it now HiFi can go back to his book on why the Bush Sr. administration did not seek a second term because he was clearly the greatest President ever already and how his son makes Lincoln look like a pile of crap ...

one inclusion i'm surprised at is rutgers making it as a 10 seed? Uconn should not be that high after losing all they do. I don't mind our path to the final four either. But this is ridiculously early to be speculating on stuff like this.

I've said it before and I'll say it again ---
These guys will go to any length, and produce any silly story, to justify their ESPN salary during the off-season.

So two in the East, I can take that. We face Florida this time in the Elite 8, other than that, our path looks pretty good. I'm going to book my ticket right now to East Rutherford, I mean because the early May seeding is usually so accurate.

Nice to see UMCP in the Last Four Out list. Let's hope they drop out of that list when the season begins.

Shouldn't he be doing something for Saint Joe's? Doesn't he have a real job?

I agree that the concept of a Preseason Bracketology is pretty ridiculous redonkulous Redick-u-lous. However, last week I was doing research for my next column, looking through old threads on the board from about a year ago...and I came upon the one about Lunardi's Preseason Bracketology for the 05-06 season: hoyatalk2.proboards48.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1112948937He apparently had us in a 7-10 game playing Northern Iowa. I thought that was kinda weird.

Say what you will about Lunardi, when the end of the season comes, the man is on his game.
I'd take a 2 seed (and eventual upset of UF!!) for sure.

Well, I guess it won't be worth it to go to any of the games next year since we already know what's going to happen. Now I can spend my season ticket money on better seats for the year after.

I'd be very disappointed if the Big East gets 8 bids...
That will definitely mean that a team deserving of a bid got left out...(Seton Hall)...

yeah Ohio has been good to us. It has. And no offense to Dayton - it was a great host city - but THANK GOD WE DON'T HAVE TO PLAY IN DAYTON. I remember getting a cab to go see a movie on Saturday between the games and a guy pulled up with a beat up pos cab that was blaring bluegrass - i didn't know there were bluegrass radio stations - much less that you can bump it and roll ...

I'd go back to Dayton in a heartbeat, really no complaints from me. Maybe the lines to the bathroom at UD Arena, but other than that I have nothing but amazing memories from Dayton. It'll take a lot next year to surpass that experience, especially considering the group of people that were there.
