Any of you know the name of the bartender there or know what her deal is? I didn't think much of her before the renovation, but she is rocking my world lately.
Casually.

I don't know who this bartender is, but did we just inadvertantly stumble upon a potential new revenue generator for Hoya Blue & the Hoya Hoop Club?
(think Michael Keaton & Henry Winkler)
;D

The only bartender that was at Cafe 31 both before and after the renovation is (I believe) Rachel. Sweet girl. Hope that helps! LET'S GO HOYAS!!!

I was at Cafe 31 two weeks ago (I went there after a Kid Rock concert). I walked in and everyone recognized me even though I was not wearing the dog mask. I truly love that place. The bartenders are all great.
That said... the only names I exchanged over the bar were "Bass Ale" or "Jaegermeister".

What time is the Jordan Classic? I am going to be hitting the Yankees game on Saturday afternoon. We are looking for somewhere to go in the city after the game... could be interesting.

I guess it would have been a lot better if I did wear my dog mask!
The funny thing about the Kid Rock show was the fact that I was recognized on the way home. I took the last train home to Connecticut which is often filled with a bunch of drunks (I guess I qualified that night). There were three young guys (maybe 16 or 17 years old) sitting across from me. They were all dressed like English professors and clearly looked like they were spending "daddy's" money in New York City (they got off the train in Greenwich).
Long story short, one of the guys says to me: "Do you remember me? We met once before?"
I do not make it a habit to hang out with teenage boys so I quickly said, "No, you must have me confused with someone else."
He says: "No it was you. I sat next to you at the UConn/Georgetown game up in Hartford. You wore a dog mask and a full uniform." He then began to remind me of a lot of the things I was saying to the players and the fans.
As I was not in my full ensemble I have to admit that this surprised me a bit. I then went on to talk to these kids for a while and told them all about the virtues of a Georgetown education. I am not sure that I had too much credibility at that exact moment...
PS - The Kid Rock concert was incredible. It had fireworks, "Free Bird", stripper poles and even a video tribute to Joe C. (the deceased "little person" that rapped with him). Great show. Sadly, I was not pulled onto the stage like at the Wyclef show.

Jahidi, Clark Kent doesn't reveal his secret identity to young boys... neither should the man behing the (bulldog) mask! ;D There is something deeply troubling about this post...not sure, can't quite put my finger on it...but something about a 'reveal", "secret identity", "young boys", and "mask" set off the pederast alarms.
