I'm a fan of Jay Bilas and think he provides some of the best analysis of college hoops going, despite his semi-stutter.
But this morning on Mike and Mike on ESPN Radio, he really cheesed me off. He said Florida looks to be playing the best ball right now - which is fine - but then he went on to say that he thinks this because none of their games have been close, and none have been in doubt in the final few minutes. I can only assume that Bilas did not see the game against the Hoyas because it seemed to me that it was in doubt until, oh, about the final 10 seconds. Just made me mad that the Hoyas didn't get the credit they deserve - and neither of the hosts called him on his mistake. Guess most of the country was watching UConn/UW, but still. t's not a big deal, but to offer analysis when you clearly haven't seen the games seems amateurish, and I though Bilas was better than that.

I heard it too and got a little annoyed, but I'll let it go as an error of omission rather than a slight. It's easy to forget every piece of what you're talking about. If people called me out on everything I forgot to mention when ad-libbing on a conference call, I'd have been fired long ago...

You got to let the guy have one mistake. He has been pretty even this year unlike the other ACC bias guys.

I heard it too and have to agree with Cam. They were more interested in talking about the final 4 teams and kindof ran past it pretty fast. That said, Bilas talked the Hoyas up far more this year than I would have expected so he gets points for objectivity there.

That's odd, because in his summary of the weekend he included the following:
Every team that is in the Final Four deserves to be there, without question. However, the Final Four could look quite different with a play here or there going the other way. Even Florida, which has manhandled three of its four opponents, had a close shave against Georgetown in the Sweet Sixteen.

I heard someone on radio 980 (D.C.) this morn say that none of the teams playing in the tournament are as good as the Hoyas of 85 (yes, 85).
