I cheated on the congratulating current students theme--I sent a text message to the Hoya Blue/student roadtrip bus currently on its way back from Dayton:

"Pretty awesome feeling, isn't it? Congrats, Generation Roy!!"

I know a lot of friends at GU who were lucky enough to make it to Dayton this weekend. I had a phone conversation with one about 45 mins after the game, and even I basically could only keep repeating the first line of that text message above.

I do hope that a bunch of students still have it in them (and, more importantly, their bank accounts) to make it to the Twin Cities next weekend. But let me tell you, aside from the Metrodome, there's no place I'd rather be on Friday night than parked in a chair in Sellinger Lounge in front of a big screen TV, back on campus again for the Sweet 16.

I was just old enough in '84 and'85 to remember the glory days. I am ecstatic beyond belief to have them back! Go Hoyas! Beat the Gators!!
