I like Rutgers in the NIT. I think they can beat anyone at any time with Douby.

Old Dominion beats the fifth-placed team in the Big 12 by 18 on the road...
So much for that theory Nantz and Packer

Does NIT stand for Not In Tournament? No. It stands for Nobody Important Tournament. Let us not forget where we spent the last 4 years. I watched a guy agonizing over the Okie State loss in the first round today (they totally blew it, missing a game winning layup with 6 seconds left when the guy didn't use the glass) and it brought back the pain of the last 4 years.

He admitted again he hadn't seen the MVC play but again said by "any measure" the power conferences deserved more because they have a chance to win it. Really Billy? The Big 12 hasn't won one of these since they were the Big Eight. Maybe the midwest needs new blood. And as for the Pac-10, anyone who witnessed UNI-Creighton and Arizona-Stanford would only come away unable to believe Arizona is in this tournament over Creighton.

Exactly. That's why it feels so good to be important again. I don't think we're totally back yet, but this is another step in that direction.

My question - how in the world did we ever lose to vandy? They looked pretty pathetic against ND.

And as for the Pac-10, anyone who witnessed UNI-Creighton and Arizona-Stanford would only come away unable to believe Arizona is in this tournament over Creighton. Billy's argument on PTI went something like this: 1. Mid-majors are bad 2. And since power conferences won't schedule mid-majors in the regular season 3. Mid-majors have to win in the tournament to prove their worth. 4. But mid-majors have never won in past tournaments, so we shouldn't let them have as many at-large bids as, say, that ACC. So, yeah, like GIGA said, the man is an idiot.

My question - how in the world did we ever lose to vandy? They looked pretty pathetic against ND. They also looked like the home team last night against ND. The Irish wore the black jerseys, which look really dumb when they're playing on the blue and gold court at the Joyce Center. Vandy wore gold jerseys, further confusing the matter.

Too bad The Hall is getting run out of the gym by Wichita. Too bad, but not surprising from Team Schizophrenia. They make us look consistent.

Seton Hall should've been replaced by Cincinnati who would've at least given an effort worthy of being invited.

Wichita St. whips Seton Hall, UW-Milwaukee leads the whole game against Oklahoma, Pacific scares the heck out of BC - Maybe we'll see Littlepage grilling Packer on the phone tonight about why the major conferences got so many bids!!
