Lots of critics of the MVC. What does it need to do to boost its rep?

I think they need to win two games, whether it is 1 team in the Sweet 16 or 2 in the second round, to make the critics happy. More likely they will win 1 game, be competitive in 2 and 1 team will get their doors blown off.

I dunno.... after listening to Packer and Nantz the other day, I think they have to win about 30 games in this year's tournament to quiet the critics. OR at least beat every ACC team they face.

How many teams need to be competitive for the BE? That question would never be asked. I expect the MVC to go 1-3 for the first round.

It's a valid question for a mid-major conference that got the same number of bids as three high-major conferences, and two more bids than any other mid-major.

This is a good and, in my estimation, fair test for the MVC.
They've got the #3, #5, and #7 teams from the Big East and one versus the Big 12 champ. Plus they have a pair of #2 seeds in the NIT.
A good performance in these tournaments and even the staunchest critics will take notice.
I hate the mid-majors usually, but I saw a few games from the MVC earlier this year and am quite sure it's a better conference than the Pac-10 or Big 12.
The only thing I don't want this to turn into is the "Duke is good so FSU is good logic" that will be used to say "the MVC is good so all mid-majors must be pretty good."

they did beat some very good teams already during the reg season and most critics understand the reasoning i think--they just dont get how nevada gets a 5 and indiana gets a 6

I'm calling that not a single team from the MVC will make it out of the first round including Wichita state. Go Hall! Take care of business hoyas!

I don't have any of the MVC teams winning, but only one is "supposed" to win.
People are going to say they shouldn't have gotten 4 in, but they got an 7, 10, 11, and 13.
They're up against it
