Still feels horrible... Only cure is a final 8. Two NCAA wins (one likely over the top #2 seed) ain't good enough?

I couldn't believe the loss...I think the Hoyas should make basketball history and refuse the invitation to the NCAA tourney and opt out for the NIT...at least they would have a chance to win...not a good chance...but a chance...maybe there is a girls state highschool tournament they could qualify for.

I still feel like I got sucker-punched in the gut during that game too. There's nothing like waking up Friday morning knowing you are going to watch the Hoya's beat up on the Orange that evening, only to feel that feeling in your stomach get worse and worse as the day goes on. By gametime, I was in such pain, I said to myself "Self, this is more that just BET jitters. Maybe you should go see a doctor." So, I stuck it out through the first half, and saw how good the Hoya's looked, and thought "Oh yeah, they got it back, they can take it the rest of the way without me." So after the ER doc told me I needed my appendix removed I went under and didn't hear about the game until Saturday morning. Talk about insult to injury. And yes, my stomach still hurts. LOL... just hadta share my story of how I didn't get to see the game. On the bright side, I have tickets to Mpls next weekend.

Man, you are so lucky - you didn'y have to suffer through the pain of the second half, jsta little emergency appendectomy. Many of us would gladly have changed places with you!!

Somewhere the NCAA has concluded that eventually there will be more money in letting a select number of not-so-deserving teams into the tournament. Or, putting it another way, which generates more fan interest overall -- Air Force or the ninth best team in the Big East?
Much of the tournament's success is about marketing, but this year the committee went too far down that road.

They were 6-10 after Kirkland went down, and lost two must win games against fellow bubble teams in their last 3 games.
